No, of course not. I’ve been doing the opposite. I’ve been consistently telling people that they should tolerate people who have opinions they disagree with if those people are opposing Trump.
…and they certainly shouldn’t, say, start a whole pit thread criticizing those people.

Let me be clear on this point; I am not defending Donald Trump. He is both evil and stupid. He is a terrible human being and he is the worst President this country has ever had. He, along with the Republican party, are trying to destroy democracy. He has committed numerous serious crimes and should be in prison.
As a criticism of the Democratic party and its supporters, it’s pretty off-target.

We should not be driving away people who are opposed to Trump by espousing outlandish conspiracy theories or by arguing over differences in opinions or by making personal attacks against them.

Trump is planning on committing genocide.
Trump is planning on restoring slavery.
Trump is planning on starting a nuclear war.

Probably. I was just taken aback when I posted that I think reconciliation and building bridges post-Trump is the way forward, and I got an answer that the Republicans literally want to kil and enslave people.
That’s a wild-ass, crazy, probably mentally ill conspiracy theory for sure. And when those people speak for the Left/Democratic side of things, it more than likely turns off way more people than anything else.
