Now that you mention it, care to discuss the meaning of Punha? Most of us will be OK with it. We are liberal. I just wonder if you want to make it public.
Did you even read my post?
Yes, I did.
Only on Tuesdays.
Your concern for possible reaction to the revelation to some (others already know it) of my username, while touching, is rather … unnecessary? I’d be surprised if anyone took umbrage at the name I gave my Paddington bear when I was two and a half years old:D FWIW, I have posted it, here and otherwise, more than once before, so it’s not some Great Board Secret.
SInce you said you read Fenris’ post on why he believes (and I with him, FWIW) Millen88 is not a Nazi, would you care to respond to it point by point, or do you stand by your substance-free “I disagree”?
I’ll leave the possible offensiveness of “most of us will be OK with it. We are liberal.” to someone better able to explain it.
Okay, I’ll bite. Other than apparently being the Portugese word for either “fire” or “put,” what does it mean?
well sure ‘punha’ you say it is just a bear
but lets say we just type it into google for a laugh—and what do we find
our old friend ‘iampuhna’ is some kind of nazi exercise video king!
sure its all cookies and cream—but not when you google it!
damn–wonder what Hakuna Matata stands for—that damn 8 year old daughter of mine! Will the wonders of hidden names never cease!
hmm…maybe a couple hours off the board here will do askeptic some good.
for me—I am off to google what the hell ‘askeptic’ will find for me!
Hakuna Matata
You’re a nut. Chill out.
I repeat the request for a link.
thanks
12000 posts and someone finally figures me out;)

Probably some sort of advice columnist named, like, Edward P. Tic.
BTW, Ilsa:
You’re not the only person who thought it had Portugese roots. Kyla thought it was pronounced ee-yam-punya (very roughly transliterated from the Portugese phonetics) from the Portugese until I posted otherwise.

So what the hell is askeptic blathering on about? Did Paddington support gay marriage and abortion rights? How are we liberal enough to understand?
I find it interesting that the nazi to which the OP was addressed has yet to respond. I would be tempted to believe he was not just pursuing some agenda if he would pop in and just say"fuck off loser". That would be fine by me. It would indicate that he had more interest in these forums than just advocating hate. Sorry if most of you want to support such stuff. I guess you are just too young to remember the horror to which these assholes subjected the world.
Eight eight isnt so much of something youd hear in the US anyway, its more of a european thing. I know I had never heard it before going to europe, though maybe its more common on the east coast. Unless Im mistaken it stems from Nazi slogans and all that being illegal in most of europe, so codes are used instead. American twits arent under any such restrictions.
Alright you little fucktard, I’ve had it. You’re either a moron or a troll if you think I support Nazis.
Millen probably hasn’t noticed the link as he’s answering the questions in order and he’s just gotten to this morning–plus it’s only been an hour or so.
And by the way, you toad, Millun A) admitted that many people who share his beliefs are generally anti-Semites and B) claims he’s not (I see no reason to disbelieve him) and C) hopes he can change that (unlikely, but trying to change a group from within is a worthy, if hopeless goal). Ergo, he’s not a Nazi.
I’m fairly certain that using the term “Nazi” to describe someone who’s not one is against the “Don’t be a jerk” rule (or the “hate speech” rule–I can’t remember who, but I’d swear someone was banned over it). At this point, I really hope you push it and keep going…I’d love to see you become a test-case.
Okay. Let’s play a little logic game, askeptic.
Apparently to you segregationist = Nazi
If the above is true, then does Christian = Crusader?
Does Catholic = Inquisitor?
How about Police Officer who engages in racial profiling? Is he just kind of an arse or is he a Nazi too?
How about another… does Serb = war criminal?
Oooh… I’ve got another good one… welfare advocate = Commie, right?
Your line of reasoning basically goes, “He holds beliefs which sort of relate to beliefs which are sometimes held by people who think the Nazis have the right idea. Therefore, he must be a Nazi.” Fenris and I are not defending his beliefs, we’re defending him, because frankly if you assume that all bigots are Nazis you’re no better than they are.
I don’t have a dog in this fight but I was wondering one thing. Are four anti-racist threads in the Pit really necessary?
This one’s not “anti-racist”, it’s anti-idiot, which is why askeptic is being dog-piled.
askeptic:
You arrogant, sanctimonious prick.
Do you think we’re all blind, stupid goyem who are going to let the neo-Nazi’s roll over you folks again just because we can’t or won’t remember?
Yes, I know the Jews have gotten the dirty end of the lollipop since the Romans decided that having more than two Jews together in any one location was a Very Bad Idea. I feel for them, and will never consciously take action or support action that hurts Jews just for the sake of hurting Jews.
But you…you…well, with your martyr complex, why dontcha just jump up on the cross and let me grab the nail gun? Get it over with proper-like? I’ll even give you vinegar to drink and stab you with a spear, if it’ll make you happy.
“Welcome to my parlor,” said the spider to the fly.
What the spider don’t know is that this fly is a certified gun-nut and is packing more heat than the local National Guard Armory, and will unload it all into the collective asses of any real Nazi fucks who try to bring that shit to my country. As long as they stay up in Idaho on their little compounds, inbreeding and high explosives will sort the whole problem out by itself in another generation or two.
As long as I’m drawing breath, It’ll be a cold day in hell before anyone gets stuffed into an oven here in my good-gawd-damned U.S. of A.
Since Millen88 (and yes, I do share your skepticism on that “88” issue, but am willing to give the man a fair shake so long as he’s civil and cogent) is behaving hisself, give the cat a break, and fucking learn something.
Because if you can’t or won’t learn… then bubba, you need to go find yourself a different message board to hang out on.
