I pit the derisive, condenscending, anti-conspiriacy ... [merged threads]

Once again, Kozmik, you list your beliefs without giving any reason why you believe them, other than cryptic one liners about Kim Jong-un and Nazi Germany.

Once again, I politely ask for a reason why I, a neutral observer, should believe that the illuminati is behind world governments.

Since you believe that the SDMB is controlled by the Illuminati, and that the Illuminati is a secret organization, why do you think they haven’t banned you and deleted all your posts?

I kindly refer you to Ludovic’s post which I disagree with.

I don’t mean for that to be a cryptic one-liner. But it would help this thread if you understand why I disagree with Ludovic’s post.

Why is it a staggeringly bad bit of reasoning?

Just to confirm, Kozmik, your new thread is nonsense and you explained nothing. You did the same thing you did in both the other threads: made a series of assertions that didn’t add up to anything and posted no evidence at all. The OP did remind me of those Jumbo Pops I used to get from the ice cream truck when I was a kid, so the good news is it’s a total failure as an argument but it does evoke some nice memories.

Unfortunately, no, they don’t indicate that. They indicate that powerful people are not all-powerful and that people with comparatively few resources can cause damage to large groups of people and even large countries (after a fashion) if they deploy them in the right way.

You have not demonstrated that anyone is more powerful than the president of the U.S. You’ve demonstrated that there are limits on the powers of the U.S. government, but they appear to be practical limits and not limits caused by some greater power.

You’ve posted no evidence for this.

Again, no, they don’t, and you’ve posted no reason to think this is correct. Get some help, or at least consider finding a more enjoyable and less idiotic way to waste your time.

This would be the part where you actually do the explaining of why you disagree with Ludovic’s post. Quoting Ludovic’s post does not explain how or why you believe it’s incorrect.

I’ll point out that disagreeing with Ludovic’s post is essentially saying that “the most powerful person on earth IS omnipotent”.

The very long pit thread on this wasn’t enough?

Mods, please stop this train wreck before you need to move it to the pit for a second thread on the same thing.

I don’t understand that. Please explain why you disagree with that post.

I"m waiting for Baal Houtham to answer my question. I cannot explain why I disagree with Ludovic’s post (and explain my beliefs) until I understand what, if anything, is wrong with my reasoning.

Larry Borgia nicely asked me to not list my beliefs, but to explain my beliefs. Thank you Munch for listing one more of my beliefs for me.

I will once Baal Houtham answers my question so that I may understand what, if anything, is wrong with my reasoning.

The Ontological Conspiracy Theory.

As my example(and Ludovic’s observation) implied, the ability of a one entity to cause problems for another does not indicate that the first entity is more powerful than the second.

The mastiff is ultimately less powerful than me, the hijackers less powerful than the U.S. government, a purse snatcher is less powerful than a big city police department.

This doesn’t make any sense. I said that stating that “Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia indicate that the Illuminati exist” makes no sense at all, and you respond that “They are Orwellian.” This response is nonsensical on many levels:

  1. Who is “they,” Germany and Russia or the Illuminati?
  2. It is unexplained what Orwell has to do with any of this.
  3. Even if I try to connect what these bizarre, scattershot ideas mean, the quality of being Orwellian has nothing to do with evidence of the Illuminati.
  4. You aren’t actually answering the question at all.

Does this help clarify why people read your posts and think they are nonsense?

This makes no sense at all. Are you seriously thinking that a picture of a bunch of private school kids proves the existence of the Illuminati?

Am I supposed to read this with 3D glasses?

Thank you for taking it to the Pit.

I am learning patience.

Not in the Pit, though.
You fucking understand nothing:

I’m going to reply to Larry Borgia.

The problem with your reasoning is that powerful figures in history - Obama, Putin, Hu, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Augustus, Qin Shi Huang - have all be known people. The more powerful they become the more they are known.

But your reasoning is that the most powerful people are somehow unknown and have always been unknown. That somehow there is a parallel group of figures who took power without public awareness of their existence. This theory runs counter to the evidence of the historical examples I gave above.

OK, but don’t you think it’s a lot more likely that the kids in that picture point and laugh because, “Hey, lookit, we’re getting our photo taken! Cheeeeeese!” You know, just kids goofing around…?

(Think about it: If you were in a position of power within the Illuminati, would you really want kids involved? Wouldn’t you worry about them spilling the beans to the media, or giving the secrets away by drunkenly bragging on Chatroulette or whatever?)

But wouldn’t you agree that it is a lot more likely that Weishaupt picked the name “Spartacus” simply because he considered himself a bit of a freedom fighter? Surely that is a more plausible explanation than that the Illuminati pre-date Weishaupt? Don’t you agree?

Anyways, a few more questions:

  1. What is the Illuminati’s political agenda (if any), and which are their religious beliefs (if any)?

  2. Do they ever fight amongst themselves? Are there ever any internal power struggles, and that sort of thing? If so, how would we know?

  3. Have there been any major political events in the last, say, hundred years which were not controlled by the Illuminati?

  4. Oh and about Kim Jong-un. You mentioned he’s part of the Illuminati. Does that mean the group is centered in North Korea? Korea generally? Asia? Is Kim Jong-un personally, like, the boss, or more of a mid-level bureaucrat or what?

If the Illuminati were behind the 1960s and the 1990s (and I’d love to know what’s meant by that–how are you behind a time period, anyway?), then why did they ignore the 70s and 80s? Those poor, orphan decades. You know, the 70s had disco and the 80s had shoulder pads and big hair. Maybe that made them Illuminati-proof.

Bring back the discoing big hair and shoulder pads!

Makes about as much sense as anything **Kozmik **has said, really.

I thought green was traditional. Or does that only apply to ink?

It wouldn’t hurt. It also wouldn’t hurt to read this upside down, or with your eyes closed, or naked. It will all be equally nonsensical regardless.

Yeah, this isn’t fun anymore, and i’ve made my point many times. i don’t think we’re getting any more out of Kozmik than we’ve seen: lists of assertions and bizarre non-sequitors about the how Kim Jong-un likes Basketball and some dude in California got the same cell number as a D-list celebrity.

I’m out.

Anyone else notice that he used University of Florida colors? It’s a clue!
