So we can ignore the 60+ years of his life before he saw Michael Bloomberg (a pretty liberal dude) become mayor of NYC by running as a Republican and just rely on the shit he has been saying to win Republican votes?
What makes you think that anyone is voting for Trump? Our choice this year is between a turd sandwich and a brutal assraping while eating a turd sandwich.
There is a difference between giving someone (who wants to shoot some guy) a gun so they won’t shoot some guy and giving someone a gun so that some other guy won’t try to shoot them. Its the difference between deterrence and accessory to murder.
Some Rockerfeller Republicans still haven’t figured it out.
Not that I would vote for either of them but:
I suspect more people will be voting against someone this year than in the past. And that means voting for Trump or Hillary
Gary Johnson is against regime change, but wants to change the regime in North Korea, with China’s help. He doesn’t think they’ll have any qualms about placing Seoul in charge of the entire peninsula.
Jill Stein is pandering to anti-vaxxers and is apparently anti-GMO.
IOW, crazy on one side and a lying politician on the other. But neither is as successful as their more well known counterpart.
If I wasn’t old and happily married for 40 years I would hang out at your pizza place. This is exactly how I feel about Hillary. As a women of an age I am still totally pissed off at how Bill treated Monica and how Hillary went along with it (note that I voted for Bill twice). I don’t trust her, I don’t like her and if I had any other choice I wouldn’t vote for her. Why? She started the Obama birther thing, she lied about being under fire, she has lied again and again about her emails, her and Bill have made a fortune while doing “public service” their charity is questionable and not transparent at all… Unfortunately she is running against Donald “Cheeto” Trump.
sinjin!
I feel like it’s been ages since we talked. It might just be my memory. I can’t even remember…
Mafia games or… some other discussion?
Here’s the consolation prize for voting Hillary Clinton: Just remember, on policy positions, she’s not much worse than Obama.
She won’t pack the court with coathanger brigade people.
That’s not a lot of things to be thankful for but it’s something. Her character is a mess. Fortunately, most of the things that matter happen in Congress which will probably be deadlocked again.
If Trump got in, no such guarantees that progress wouldn’t be reversed on multiple fronts. HRC is the doorstop candidate. She’ll just be there not making things worse, or not that much worse.
That’s how I’ve psyched myself into voting her. But she really is the Richard Nixon of the Democratic party. Still, Nixon went to China and did the EPA and OSHA. If you can overlook the fact that he was a lying crook, he was better than most of the other Republican presidents of the 20th century, and he’d probably be a Democrat today.
Today’s Democrats are yesterday’s Republicans, and today’s Republicans are yesterday’s nationalists.
Which is why I’m still looking for a liberal party to vote for… and wish Jill Stein wasn’t representing the Greens. End up voting Hillary just because it’s the least bad and most likely to win.
No, she did not “start the Obama birther thing.” Some of her disgruntled supporters did, but she never had anything to do with it.
Of course not, but she condoned it while she was contesting the nomination.

My recollection is quite different.
I still abominate you Hillary haters. But I sympathize with those of you who are just ignorant, bombarded by others’ hatred, and conclude “Well, with all the hatred of Hillary there must be something behind it.”
My advice is to take the opposite track. The louder the right-wing blowhards like Coulter and Hannity bray, the more you should just assume the opposite of what they say is true. Recall Kerry, the Vietnam War hero who ran against a shirker. American voters came out against the hero (“There seemed to be some question about his war record” was a typical voter comment) while voting for GWB the shirker!
And you Hillary-haters are still prattling your ignorance or foul lies in GD threads. It’s not yet clear whether you’ll just turn President Hillary into a 4-year lame duck, with gridlock while China and Russia are permitted to take over the world, or whether you’ll actually succeed in getting Donald Trump elected. Either way, you’re to blame for the likely problems in America’s near-term future.
Here’s a story that explains why the latest accusations against Hillary are just more lies. The article points out the Hillary haters have little ignorant minds and can’t read past the headlines to learn that the latest charge is that Hillary, while Sec’y of State, met with people like
My Goodness! The duplicitous slut met with Muhammad Yunus?? It’s only a short leap from there to believe she was making secret trips to Abbottabad and giving blow-jobs to Osama bin Laden.
I think you chose a very rude way to present your ideas. Saying that if you don’t agree with me about Hillary, you are ignorant. I think there could have been a much more pleasant way to express your views.
Since I read posts in a flat format, I couldn’t see your previous post that was answered so rudely. Now I see that none of your 22 posts have been in this thread. Are you objecting to the OP?
Please, express yourself in detail. Also, be aware that this is the Pit.
Sorry, I do understand this is the pit. I don’t hate Hillary, but I don’t like her. I feel that she is dishonest. I do feel that people have the right to hate her, and I think that there are real reasons why people do. I do not think Trump is any better. It seems that a lot of the dope is left leaning, which is cool, however I think that this message here is saying, “If you hate Hillary, your a right wing idiot”. I think that’s fucked up IMO. I know I don’t have a lot of posts, I am new. I mostly read and think upon things to myself. Don’t kill me. :smack:
Regrettably, it appears that your limited cognitive abilities have hampered your capacity to dispel your ignorance. Please understand that our “war on ignorance” does not necessarily imply any attack on the victims of ignorance. And it would truly be a wonderful thing if ignorance could be resolved by osmosis, that ignorance could leak out of your pie-hole and be replaced by information by way of your input receptors.
Sadly, no. Once ignorance has calcified in the brain-pan, it becomes much more resistant to evaporation and replacement with information molecules. As a result, we become more frustrated and irritable. It is very similar to the annoyance you experience when losing at tic-tac-toe with a chicken.
And while it is true that one “draws more flies with honey than with vinegar” we cannot forget that shit works better than either of them, and that drawing flies is seldom a positive experience.
Actually, I don’t have a right wing idiot. Where are they for sale? And the sentence doesn’t appear to be complete. What are you trying to insinuate about my right wing idiot?
I see someone has a lot of time on their hands. So what did I say to prove that I was stupid? I am sure you chuckled to yourself as you wrote this. Reading it over and over again thinking, “This is my one second of glory! Attack the new and weak! He has a very unpopular opinion”. I do not think that I was speaking ignorantly at all. So pat yourself on the back for your swing.
I know that saying anything at all in the pit brings out the turds.
(Especially if you disagree with the overwhelming majority)
I just think that Hillary is one of two horrible choices. People should hate that.
Thank you for sharing.
The purpose of strong language is to make a strong impression.
Did you read these words and ponder them? :–
If Yes, did it give you better insight into the House of Lies that you’ve bought into about Hillary?
If No — If you just ignored my message and tuned in to listen to Rush Limbaugh or some other liar — then that just shows that my words weren’t harsh enough!
If you need someone to coddle to your ignorance and speak very gently (“Hello little boy! This is a Limbaugh and this is a Coulter. Let me teach you what grown-ups know about them.”) then you’ve come to the wrong place.
HTH.
