I pit the legal community of Steubenville Ohio

I’m hoping what he meant was that, when they look at their daughters they will see that they could be victims of the same kind of criminals that they, the parents, have been protecting or justifying, and maybe they’ll wake up. As in, ‘it could happen to my child’.
I’m really hoping that’s what he meant.

That is exactly what I meant.

Traci Lords Claims she was also raped there, as was her mother, Traci when she was 10. Here’s a vid of her talking about it

OMG, 10 years old. :frowning:

Good point. I was thinking more on the lines of a Singapore style caning as being more appropriate.

I believe another grand jury could be called and the same questions asked. In theory it could go round and round.

The reason I brought this thread back to life:

Later in the piece he denies hacking into the team’s website (the crime for which he was raided by M-16 toting agents) even though he was the person in the video.

He faces (potential sentence, if convicted) up to ten years in prison.

He’s facing ten years.
And the rapist does not apologize when he gets out.

If the victim didn’t want to be raped, she shouldn’t have been born a woman, obviously.

This is why I unashamed describe the US as a “pro-rape” country. Because it fucking is.

No, you’re fucking stupid.

This country has a massive fucking problem with how it treats sexual assault in general, and the fact that this isn’t even an isolated case should be a wakeup call.

Instead, we have the same thing repeating and stuff like rape victims having their houses burned down as they try to flee attackers, and nothing being changed.

Yes, we have a massive fucking problem with how we treat sexual assault. That doesn’t mean we are a “pro-rape” country. Hell, we are practically a shining beacon of the fight against sexual violent compared to most places (including most “developed” states.)
