My deepest condolences to you and your family. You were there and helped to comfort your brother, be proud.

START, I am sorry about your brother’s death. Asthma is such a miserable killer, sneaking up and cowardly stealing the life out of people who seem too young and healthy to die.
I wish I could help ease your conscience, you did what occurred to you at the time, don’t waste time with guilt. Although I feel sure your brother would rather be alive, I for one would hope that someone would put some clothes on me before carting me out the door. That may even have been one of his dying wishes.
I do hope that you will tell us more about him when your grief is not so fresh.
As you make your way through this time of sorrow, I will remember you in my prayers.

UPDATE!!!
**START took me up on the offer to email me and we’ve exchanged a couple emails. Due to his internet connection, he needs to stay off the phone line for a while until things aren’t so crazy.
He wanted me to let you all know he’s doing okay, as okay as he can at this time. He really appreciates everyone for their kind words and plans on posting sometime this weekend to let you all know he’s okay.

I hope that start gets back on soon and sees the outpouring of support here. I don’t know him well (or at all, really) but he has my sympathies in this hard, hard time.
I wish him well and I think of him often.
START…sweet Og, man, that was a bad day. And there will be other bad days ahead. But lean on your friends at the Dope when you get to your “anger” part of grief stages.
We’re here to listen, commiserate, and care. Most of us, anyway.
I, for one, feel such a great pain in my heart for you. How painful. I can’t imagine; frankly, I don’t want to imagine.
Please, retreating is good - for a while. One needs to heal a bit before feelinglike they can interact again sanely, but…please return when you can. And let us know you’re as best as you can be, considering.
My spiritual wishes for an easy transition, a pleassant rebirth, or whatever your belief system.

I have read a lot of highly personal, emotional, sad and heartbreaking things on this board.
This is the first time anything has truly brought tears to my eyes. I haven’t been around the boards at all for the past few weeks so I had no idea, but I am so sorry for your loss, START.
