Don’t blame yourself for anything that happened, and be as gentle with yourself as you can as you go through the emotional shitstorm that’s about to hit you. Consider seeing a therapist to help you sort stuff out, because most of your friends are going to have no freaking idea what to say.

That is so awful. He must have been in so much pain.

2 years ago, my brother did the same. There is no way to understand suicide, as much as our brains need to try and keep mulling things over, trying, trying to find an answer. There is no answer.
“Whatever suffering brought him to this decision, he suffers no more.” This sentence, can’t remember which book I took it from, helped get me through. My mind would search and search to make sense of something that makes no sense. But I kept bringing myself back to this and it kind of helped.
