I’m so sorry. My sister did the same 13 years ago. When things are bleak for you, remember that it will get better. And like picunurse wisely advised, keep talking, even if it’s just posting here on the Dope. A bunch of “internet strangers” are willing to listen and commisserate and offer virtual hugs.
My brother committed suicide about 20 years ago, so I know how it feels. My sympathies go out to you. Stay strong, it does get easier as time goes by.
I too have lost a loved one to suicide. I’m am truly sorry for you, your brother and family. I agree that talking, screaming, writing your brother a long letter, venting, therapy…etc. Anything that helps you come to terms with this is helpful. Don’t stuff it down deep inside of you. You have a right to be angry, sad, confused and it’s important to express these feelings.

I am so sorry for your loss,** erleichda**. Losing a sibling is horrible. I can’t even imagine losing one to suicide.
The news today is no news. We have no idea when his body will be released, or anything else. I am sad, and tired and so, so angry. I will be coming here to vent. Everything is being kept as quiet as possible until my brother’s son can be told.
Thank you all for being here. I don’t post much, but I feel a part of this community. There are some very caring people on the dope.
