He certainly made a trolly ass of himself in thisthread. I mean, is “fucking” that hard to spell?

What irritates me the most is incorrect punctuation and capitalization. I make spelling errors occasionally (especially if I am posting from a smartphone), and tolerate them to some extent. What really detracts from fluid reading is if you have run-on sentences that contain incorrect capitalization. That’s what irks me the most.

Oh, by the way, I just wanted to share this from my first thread on the SDMB when I tried using voice recognition to post from a smartphone:

Also the air density will matter when there are mass problems.like I said if someone told you that the jar is 1200 grams then you can take 80 percent of that, and then divide if I the average density. Remembers mass divided by density meet equals volume. find the average density you will need to know the density of the candy and the density of the air. If you know that then you can take 70 percent of the density of the candy times and add 30 percent are the density of the air to it which will give you the average density. Now this example assumes that the packing efficiency is 70% but it can and will be different for others.

Anonymous, be sure to be attentive to the English grammar and style of your sentences when presenting your assumptions and results. English follows a logic and has the opportunities for descriptive style that should match as closely as possible–and not just in a blow-by-blow way–the clarity of what you are thinking about in other symbols. Sometimes it can fight or conceal the points you may think are obvious in the math.

Although, I admit it wasn’t purely voice recognition. I did go back and tried to fix some errors that I found.
