You’ve always been one of the staff members I’ve looked up to most, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with you. You’ve been everything a Pit mod should be.
Giraffe, I’ve loved you ever since you hit on that 14 year old. Then you started closing non-pits and you climbed in my estimation. I hope you have more fun being a regular poster

It means that Ed is apparently managing these boards by fiat now, vanishing entire forums into the cornfield without informing his staff. When the good staff start quitting on you because of your management style, that’s the time to question how you’re running the business.

I’m really sorry to hear this, Giraffe. You were a terrific Pit mod, up in exalted company with Alphagene and Coldfire. Helluva job, sir, helluva fine job. You’re level-headed, you listen and incidentally you’re also funnier than hell.
So after solid years of nearly complete indifference, Ed is suddenly an expert on the board. That’s working out really well.
Glad you’re sticking around though. Post like a muthafuck now that you don’t have to wade through with the copious loads of bullshit, okay?

I’m sorry you feel that way, Giraffe - not only for you, but for the rest of us and for the future of these boards, too. This does not feel like a good thing.
This is a shame. The Pit must one of the more challenging fora to moderate, to say the least.
