I read slash. I'm going to hell.

No. Slash refers to the / between names, and is used exclusively for same sex pairings. It is also a common misbelief that slash is very graphic and explicit. It’s not-a lot of slash is actually G rated.

** Jurhael ** , could you hook me up? That was one of my fave games ever, I wanna read the slash!!!

Loneraven could you also hook me up? I’ve read that pairing before, its not my fave. But I do like it.
I’m such a slash whore
also does anyone want the link for “Gallant is Aroused; Goofus is Horny”? I found the link agian last night. so, if ya wanna read, let me know.

Porn.

Seriously? Lemon.

Gallant is Arroused; Goofus is Horny. It’s hysterical!

Poetchick, email me at iona_bookworm [at] hotmail dot com, and I’ll give you any links you’d like.

istara, the term for graphic hetrosexual sex varies from fandom to fandom, but I just know it as “smut”.

capacitor: Wes/Gunn is a very popular slash pairing. It’s one of my favorites. What made you think there wasn’t any?

istara: A lot of writers are starting to use “het” to designate stories featuring heterosexual pairings. Like “slash,” the term doesn’t mean there’s necessarily explicit sex, or even any sex at all. Smut can be either slash or het, but not all slash or het is smut.

Which one? If it’s the first game, I’ve written a few Gremio/hero G-rated stories. I like Viktor/Flik too. It seems like all anyone ever writes for Suikoden now are knight/knight pieces. grump

Oh, sweet Jesus. That Goofus and Gallant thing (though probably completely inappropriate for the boards) is the second funniest slash I’ve ever read.

The first funniest is entitled “As the Harlequin Turns, or Love’s Blessed Release,” by Anne and Amirin, a Paris/Kim masterwork. Go google it!

That just made my whole day.

viva, hellbound

Now I’m off to check on matt’s recommendation…

Mine too! I just spent ten minutes looking over my shoulder in extreme paranoia while I read it…

matt, I found it, but the link was broken. :frowning:

I tried looking for it too, but couldn’t find it.

I Googled and found a long list of all the P/K stories with that one included, but nothing to highlight and click on.

Oh, matt…can we get some help here?

** vivalostwages ** , that is excatlly what I found.

Well… if Guin can post that link, I’ll post this one.

To try to make it a little more kosher, this goes to a directory of stories (not the story itself). Look near the bottom or use your browser’s text-search function to find the word “harlequin”.

And a quick sample:

Yes, the authors knew what they were doing.

“Jurhael , could you hook me up? That was one of my fave games ever, I wanna read the slash!!!”

Well, there’s my own Suikoden page:

http://jowysiren.spores.net/battle/

I do have quite a few links, but most of them are in Japanese.
And another:

Which will lead to even more links.
And here:

Well, on my site, it’s mostly Jowy/Siren(H2), Camus/Miklotov, and Shu/Klaus. But, I do have a few odd ones and it doesn’t reflect ALL the pairings I like. I have quite a few more ideas in the Suikoverse, but I’ve yet to do anything with them.

If there are actors best known for portraying the characters, how old are they? And how many of those sickos writing Harry Potter slash fiction make sure at the beginning of every story to emphasize the fact that they’re far enough along in wizard school to be of age?

If the characters being written about are associated with an actor who portrays them, this is where I find a problem with it. It’s not about what orientation the sex is, whether it’s gay or straight or whatever, it’s the fact that people are taking characters and forcing their own sexual fantasies onto them. If I were an actor in a popular TV show, I’d be creeped the fuck out if I knew that people were writing my character, essentially writing me, into their own sexual fantasies.

If you write Buffy into a sexual relationiship with someone, you are basically doing that to Sarah Michelle Gellar, not just the character. If the writers for the show wanted Buffy to go lesbian and start having all sorts of hot steamy scenes, she could quit if she wanted to or do it if she wanted to. She would have some control over what sort of scenes her character did, and if she did have a moral objection to certain sex acts she could exercise her control to prevent her character’s participation in those acts, and by association her participation in them. But some weirdo can write a bunch of stories like that and plaster them all over the internet, and she can’t stop it.

I think the most disturbing part of slash fiction is that these people feel the need to create their own little world to play out their own little sexual fantasies. People out there are submerging themselves into this stuff, spending hours a day writing erotic fiction for obscure TV shows. Some of these people’s devotion to their little fandom is almost as disturbing as those furries are.

Those of you who think this slash stuff is okay, ask yourself a question. If it wasn’t something most of us generally approve of, such as consensual homosexual relations between adults, but rather it was shit-fetish or bestiality? If someone wrote you into those situations, what would you think of that writer? These actors are real people. Ask yourself what Mark Hamill might feel about your writing him into a relationship with Harrison Ford.

As far as I’m concerned, the companies that own the rights to all these characters should do their best to get these websites that host fan fiction of any sort shut down. Speaking of which, those of you who have admitted here to writing these stories have admitted copyright infringement…I thought it was against board rules to advocate lawbreaking?

There are some fabulous slash stories here. It’s where I first learned of it, and I’ve been hooked on it ever since.

Enjoy.
