I saw a dead man today.

I’m a nurse in a nursing home, so seeing dead bodies is nothing unusual or disturbing. However, one day, on my way home from work, there was the body of a homeless woman lying in the road who had just been hit by a car. There were people directing traffic into the other lane, but they didn’t bother to cover the body in any way. It seemed surreal seeing an old lady lying twisted in the road.

Jus checked back in, saw **Bruce Wayne’s **update. So, we may actually be looking at a righteous shooting. Well, I wish I could say that’s a relief, but **Thalion’s **latest post tells me that it’s simply the least destructive scenario for the cop involved.

So, I double and triple my damnation of the television coverage of the immediate event. There is no excuse for that. Nothing that audience ever sees on that station will ever make up for that witness’s words. I am ashamed for my profession.

Update:

Officer cleared of wrongdoing.

And how is Commissioner Gordon these days?

Would make sitting down a bit difficult. Stab your leg or crotch every time. And not be as easy to draw for me, at least.

No, the “system” is not responsible for ruining 2 lives, the system has nothing to do with it. Shit happens, accidents happen. I am sorry of the poor guy made a mistake through panic, or whatever mechanism, I can hope that he gets mental help if it is needed, but this amorphus ‘system’ to which you refer is not responsible for an accident. That is why it is called an accident, because it is not an on purpose.

Of course if he shot him on purpose instead of tasing him, then perhaps there needs to be something done, as that is undue force being used …
