He was a visitor from Brazil. He was 2.1 metres tall–6’10.5". When we were both standing, my eyes were at his armpit level, and I am not short. I’m 1.76 metres, or 5’9ish".

Was he on the Brute Squad?

2.1 metres tall (6’10.5") actually seems a bit short for a city the size of Toronto. I would think there’d be at least one person on the Raptors who’d be taller. (BTW, this Brazilian guy you mention doesn’t play for the Raptors does he?)

I was thinking about this last week, when I was waiting at Queen station and I could see over the tops of the heads of 90% of the people on the platform. What must it be like for him? NDP, he was an IT person in town for work.

NBA.com says that they have two players that stand 6’10" and two more at 7’0".
There’s a guy I know through rock climbing in Toronto. He’s 6’10 and has met taller people in the city. He’s very muscular though, so I never think he actually looks that tall until I’m standing next to him. I keep thinking that if he was really thin he’d look taller.
