Seriously, how has this idiot never been pitted before.

He has, just not for a while. Here is the most recent one i could find, from 2005. That one was about his tendency to post threads, often with inflammatory or accusatory statements, and then never return to defend his position. Not sure if he’s gotten any better with that or not.

The thing i find most amusing about him is that, if something stupid or corrupt happens anywhere between Washington D.C. and Portland, Maine, he will find a way to blame Ted Kennedy for it. The man is truly obsessed.

It is not just codfish; it is the years of stupidity that have poured from your fingertips. You repeat ULs about Ted Kennedy and his clan that are rumor and Urban Legends which BTW makes it harder for me to maintain my dislike for Ted. You go through periods where you spit out any question that crosses your mind as another thread. I recall a few days period where you started about seven threads and six had easy answers by Google. This has happened more than once. Maybe it wouldn’t even be noticeable if you did not start more threads than even Brain Glutton.

I will give you credit for finally finding the shift key in a consistent manner, but it did take years and that was with posters telling you about it often.

Please, start checking you facts before you post. If you have heard something, think if it is true and maybe check Snopes before repeating it. You remind me of my Uncle. I spent nearly a year replying to about half of his Emails with links to Snopes and the Straight Dope clearing up these UL and pass around bits of misinformation. Now he actually checks Snopes and Google first.

Yes my spelling error is the equivalent of your posting wrong information on the board often. I know I have a problem with spelling and grammar, do you know you have a problem with spelling, punctuation, grammar and facts?

mhendo, I swear I searched the pit for ralph124c in the title and I came up with nothing. I even changed the setting from 6 month to anytime. The search engine has been buggy lately; I am not sure what happened.

Mr Bus Guy, I know, I shouldn’t start pit threads and my subject line proves why. I am just sick of ralph’s loose ties to the truth and stupid ops. I am hoping this might work more like an intervention.

Eh, since everyone is surely waiting breathlessly for my thoughts on this :p, I think gonzo is trying really hard and doing much, much better. I asked about his lack of question marks over the Lost Weekend and look, lo and behold, he’s begun using them! I think he deserves some credit for attempting to step up his game. So, excellent job thus far gonzo. Hang in there and keep up the good work.

As to ralph? Yeah, his presentation needs a huge overhaul, but the most distressing thing is what mhendo brought up about his sometime ability to abandon a thread he starts without nary another comment. I remember one such, in the Pit no less, where he was complaining (I think) over the costs of an expensive-type meal. Many questions ensued seeking clarificiation and he never even deigned them with a short response. I don’t see how that approach ever allows for much discourse, but then again, perhaps that’s not his goal. Just sayin’.

When I try to have an intelligent conversation with someone who is chewing gum with their mouth open and use “Umm” twice per sentence, it affects my view of what they say.

When I’m reading what someone has typed and their commentary is filled with misspelled words and random punctuation, it affects my view of what they wrote.

When all I have to judge is your words, then yes, communication style counts.
