Should be but sadly, it’s not, for many Americans.
There is no excuse for threatening the well being of another poster. That goes way over the line.
Dumb questions with some interesting answers would be my take. But then again, I am sick of the guy, so maybe I read them in the worst light.
I think AT’s post was over the top, but **mshar253 **was either completely asinine or trolling. I know I wouldn’t have retorted with vague threats of violence, but I understand why **AT *would be upset enough to do so. How would you feel if out of nowhere, someone made remarks like that about your wife?

gonzomax has been doing much better with his spelling, grammar, and overall coherency in the past several months. I have noticed, I think you guys should notice and lighten up on him.
I haven’t noticed ralph124c very much, but he has struck me as being the standard none-too-bright semi-religious Ted Kennedy-hating right-winger when I have seen him.
The first few pages of this thread had me laughing so hard I thought I’d have a childish accident. Jim, you’re really not well qualified for pitting. I understand; neither am I. 
I occasionally take a stab at righteous indignation or ornate insults, but I can’t do flames.
mshar253 is a jerk and should just kiss his or her career here at the SDMB goodbye, because I and others will certainly remember this and hold it against him or her. AT was acting jerkishly, but fairly understandably under the circumstances.

Yes,he really did. While I was reporting it he must have realized that it might have more severe consequences than he thought and edited it. Typical troll behavior usually involves hanging out in CS acting all innocuous for a while I think this one came out from under the bridge to recklessly. I never really cared for AT and all of his gun nuttery nor did I particularly admire his reaction to the insult from left field, but damn I was really surprised to see **mshar’s ** pre-edit comment.
