I start a new job today.

I’m doing fundamental process development research into high density metallic interconnect layers for VLSI microelectronics with a little Atomic Layer Deposition thrown in on the side. (How’s that for a mouthful?)

Watched my boss cripple our module of a two million dollar semiconductor production cluster tool last Friday. Always an amusing thing, not! Especially when they want me to be proficient on the machine in less than two weeks. At least I’m learning how to tear it down and put it back together.

A grand or two of stock options never hurts either. At least I’ll be able to lock in a low employee share price with the market tanked like it currently is.

Other than that, its the same old Silicon Valley grind. Had to show a PhD how to step tune a radio frequency driven sputter etch reactor the other day. I’m also learning about the difference between surface driven and mass transport reactions, all the usual stuff.

It keeps me out of trouble. Warmest wishes to you Spidey!
