I Think DrChuckie Needs His Very Own Thread

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!! Who is this lunatic?

Frankly, if there was a real ‘pit’, I rather go there then have to spend eternity with nutbags like you! At least in the ‘pit’ I wouldn’t have to make new friends.
By the way, Chuck, you do know that Jesus was a “hebe” don’t you? And maybe even gay. He lived with his mom until he was thirty, never married and was constantly surrounded by adoring men. Wouldn’t that just be a sharp stick in the ass, if you died and found out that Jesus had a boyfriend.
And another thing, what straight man calls himself Chuckie?

Love,
A Hebe

I’m not sure, but I think PepperlandGirl was… serious…

athene1765: “Why do these words sound so nasty?”

Dammit. I think you scared him away. I’ll try to fill in:

Homosexuality is evil. You will all burn. Those aren’t my words, they’re God’s words. By the way, I’m not gay. Really. I’m not. Buy my video!

This thread is truly evil – It’s got Severian channeling Eminem!!!

“To sodomy: it’s between God and me.” - RENT

This thread makes me want to change my name to HisandHers4Ever, but I’m afraid it makes me sound like a towel set that was too expensive to throw away.

Come now, gobear. He was only there to use the restroom. Everybody takes 20 minutes to pee in a gay bar restroom. And he didn’t know it was a gay bar, either. Honest! He said so. nod He wasn’t cruising…he was just…um…resting! Yes, resting! That’s why he was sitting at the bar in this gay club. Not because he was tired of pretending to like the dutiful sex he has with his ‘formerly’ lesbian wife. Not at all… No sir…

He was just in there facing The Peril…

Wait a second, there, “Doctor.” You’re the one who started the website you’re touting but you didn’t bother to mention that at the beginning? Now, that’s a pretty lame spamming.

You’re a woman and you’re preaching? Whatever happened to (bolding and underlining mine):

or

How about an honest answer to a few questions:
[li]What is your training in Greek?[/li][li]What is your fluency level in Greek?[/li][li]What is your training in Aramaic?[/li][li]What is your fluency level in Aramaic?
[/li]
How about these, since you’re so hepped up on others following what you think the Old Testament commands:
[li]Do you cut your hair?[/li][li]Do you wear clothing made from mixed fabrics?[/li][li]Do you keep the feasts commanded in the Old Testament?[/li][li]Do you seethe the flesh of the calf in the milk of its mother?[/li][li]Do you demand that a woman who has just given birth to a boy stay out of the church building for 40 days?[/li][li]Do you kill children who curse their parents?[/li][li]Do you actually know anything about what the Bible really says?[/li][li]Do you judge others as though you’re Jesus Christ?
[/li]
Oh, strike that last question. You’ve already answered it.

Here’s what I suspect about you and your ability to read Greek and Aramaic: It’s nonexistant. I think you have at your disposal a concordance, possibly Strong’s. A dictionary does not provide one the ability to read the language, it merely provides one the ability to read the words. Those two activities are not the same.

p.s. Aramaic is one of the “Hebe” languages you apparently despise. Here’s something you should be aware of, have you any actual knowledge of Aramaic:

Alternatively, you could do a search on www.ethnologue.com to see what some folks with real knowledge, professional linguists, have to say about Aramaic.

So, Heather having 2 Mommies because her parents are lesbians is wrong, but having 2 Mommies because her Dad divorced and remarried is apparently less objectionable? After all, it’s only the first your objecting to.

His4Ever, one of the reasons Polycarp is as well loved and respected is because he’s shown compassion, a sense of humour, and a great capacity for independent thought, three things you’ve shown little or no sign of.

You want to say homosexuals are going to Hell? Well, so am I, so is the priest who confirmed me and who I still greatly respect, so is the priest whose sermon I’ll be going to hear tomorrow, and so is Polycarp, if you’re operating by rule of law alone. According to my beliefs, none of us are capable of keeping it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every second of our lives. Fortunately, God apparently realized He’d overdone the fallibility bit, and sent Christ that all men, not just those who fancy themselves righteous* might be saved. Jesus said, “Your sins are forgiven” far more times and in places that are better documented than he said, “Go, and sin no more,” I suspect because He realized we’re not exactly capable of the latter.

So, tell me, Dr. Chuckie, if you believe that all non-Christians are doomed to burn in the Pit forever, how will you answer to God for all the souls you have driven away? It is not God or the Holy Spirit; it’s you doing it, and, quite frankly, if my own faith were not immovable, you’d drive me away, too. I’ll take a heaven with Gobear in it over one with you in it every time, and yes, I’m pretty sure God knows this. I’ll take the consequences of those actions. I’ll also continue to reach out to those people like you have driven away, not by telling them their actions aren’t sinful, but by following the example given by my Saviour, and talking to them as fellow human beings.

CJ

Um, just a little clarification, CJ. Don’t accuse me of condemning individual people to hell, please, that’s up to God not me. But I will say what I believe His word says on any particular subject and you can draw your conclusions from that. There is a scripture that says that certain people won’t inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:8-10). Now, am I condemning people just because I repeat something God says? Apparently that’s the way you look at it.

I did say to DrChuckie in the thread in GD, I believe, that Christians’s attitude toward homosexuals should be one of loving correction, not harshness or bashing. Nevertheless, many aren’t going to accept that, no matter how loving or nice you try to be.
I notice that nothing’s ever said against people who come in and rally to Polycarp’s view (no offense toward him), but just let someone rally behind someone with an opposing view and the fur begins to fly.

You know, people can agree to disagree respectfully without a lot of name calling or hateful attitudes or whatever. I go to another board (totally different kind than this) where about only one other person agrees with me and no one calls me names and, in fact, they tell me they want me to feel free to give my views.

Did you ever stop to think, CJ, that I and DrChuckie are showing compassion and it’s just not being recognized as such? Eternity is in mind here, not just happiness in this life. True compassion and love from the Christian point of view, in my opinion, is telling people the truth regardless of how unpopular it may be. I’m sure I’ve probably said that before.

Anyway, as I said, I saw what was happening and just stepped in to give some support to another poster. I know what it’s like for everyone here to be in disagreement with me.

That’s an interesting point Monty, so is His4ever being a bad Christian by trying to have authority in telling us how the bible should be read? Or is she just choosing to interpret the bible to her fitting…

Hmm…

Hmmm…indeed, Meatros! Both Chuck’s & His4’s posting histories here show them for what they are. Hmmm…

What is Heaven? Isn’t it a place of love, where we would, theoretically, bask in the perfection of God’s magnificence? Well, my father is a Hebe and my best friends are a gay pagan and a cat. None of those lovely creatures would be admitted into Dr. Chuckie’s or His4Ever’s version of Heaven, right? So how could it be perfect? How could I be happy there? This conundrum is what convinced me I could no longer be a Catholic at age 9.

His4Ever and Dr. Chuckie, if you’re even still reading this: how can you find comfort in a God who commands gay people to deny themselves the joy of love? How can you find peace in a God who would forbid my Jewish father entry into Heaven? Considering that Jesus Himself was a Jew, that hardly makes sense to me. And what about that old pagan Mahatma Gandhi? He’s in Hell, too, I take it. Doesn’t that in any way pain you and cause you to question your view?

And lastly, what makes you so sure you’re right? All the people who thought they were in good with God got knocked on their asses by the arrival on the scene of Jesus. When he comes back, maybe it’s you who will be on your ass. The deadliest of the Seven Deadly Sins is pride. Think about that.

I comfort myself with this: I hear the house band in Hell is excellent.

Oh get OVER yourself, His4ever. You like being a martyr. It’s so freaking obvious.

What disgusts me, however, is that the early Christians were REALLY persecuted. As in, tortured, killed, maimed, etc.

And then modern day fundie types whine and moan that people CRITICIZE them and won’t let them legislate their beliefs. Please.
That’s NOT persecution.

Have you ever really thought about that? Assuming that your mythology is real and the Heaven and Hell exist in a Jack Chick universe. . . . what real difference is there between the two? Both of them are absolute dictatorships where every act is monitored and no freedom is allowed. Neither Heaven nor Hell will have sex, chocolate, beer, butterflies, kittens, books, movies, or anything that makes life enjoyable. It’s like being made to choose eternity between North Korea or Iraq.

I’d rather be in Limbo, where at least one can count on jerk chicken, reggae music and dancing while leaning backward under a stick.

That’s a good point! I hadn’t considered that. I don’t think I would be too happy in heaven if I knew my friends and family were roasting in hell…

If they are going to roast in hell anyway though, why bother the “sinners” on earth? Why punish them twice? How does that make a good Christian?

What makes them right is that they need a justification for their prosecution. After all, if they weren’t right, they would be just spewing hateful rhetoric now wouldn’t they?

Just exactly how is compairing homosexuals to child molesterors compassionate?

How is brain washing people into hating themselves compassionate?

Do you think you are different from Phelps? If so, why? The only difference I see is his message is filled with a lot more venom, but the undercurrent is the same.

I’m sorry His4Ever, but I don’t agree with you and further more, I don’t think Jesus would either.

I’m going to pray for both you and DrChuckie. I’m going to pray that they both of you finally hear the Lord’s word and that you both start showing compassion for your fellow man (and woman).

I don’t know what *DrChuckie is so worked up about. As a bible thumper, he must believe that Armageddon is right around the corner. The U.S. is even at war with Iraq right now, which is in the middle east, and you know how that always spells End Times Prophecy Fulfillment. Surely, he believes that in less than 7 years time, all those darned homosexuals are going to be roasting over an open brimstone pit, away from his having to fret about them!

Actually, DrChuckie isn’t really the gal who founded MissionAmerica – he’s Charles K. Reed, the guy who redesigned the missionamerica.com website. (The “Charles K. Reed” link at the bottom of the webpage links to an e-mail address that starts with “DrChuckie@”.)

In the other thread, when asked a similar question about eating pork and shellfish, DrChuckie responded, “The day I see shellfish-eating harming this great land of ours, I’ll go after it full-bore.”

(He obviously isn’t aware of the moral damage being done to our great country by such heathenous blasphemies as Maine lobster and Boston clam chowder!)

You know, I don’t think he actually said how homosexaulity is harming this ‘great land of ours’. I would think shellfish acceptance is a far greater evil. When ever I’m at Red Lobster I never see any warnings about the damnation of my soul. Not to mention all the ads on TV for mixed fabrics.

It’s called being a hypocrit and both DrChuckles and His4Ever are exhibiting the behavior of the hypocrit.
