I think her tongue is broken.

Don’t go there!

I said, don’t go there!

You went there anyhow, didn’t you. Sigh.

This thread has nothing to do with JustThinkin’ and my relationship. Get your mind back out of the gutter. It is about our dog, Corbi.

Don’t you DARE drag her into that gutter!

Sigh. Whatever.

Corbi had to go to the vet school today for some x-rays. Nothing wrong, just some health certification work that a breedable dog ought to get. But, for the x-rays, they need to be sedated.

The poor little girl appears to be stoned, still. She wants to sit and stare at the wall, but every once in a while she just falls over. The most pitiful thing is that her tongue seems to be stuck at a position about 1/4" sticking out of her mostly closed mouth. It seems OK, I think she just doesn’t have the concentration needed to get it tucked back in.

Luckily, she has always had a pretty good sense of humor, and will probably be able to laugh at herself in the morning.

“…dude…” is her mantra, today.

Pics??

Oh, heck, I would, but I don’t have a hosting site at the moment, I don’t think. I’ll try to figure something out.

Well, if snapfish works, then she’d be here.

“Duuuuude”

…video? Seriously. I want video.

Heh…she does look a little baked in that pic…

Sorry. We don’t own a video camera, and the time has passed anyway. She was back to her normal self this morning.

She’s very cute.

…but I liked it in the gutter…

(scritches gently behind doggie’s ears)

That’s what I’ve heard…

goddess of love, indeed…

Hah! That happened to my dog too, when she went under for surgery. I think it’s just a combination of mouth muscles being very relaxed and dogs’ tongues being very… floppy. Very cute, though.

nod the naughty’s tongue did the same thing and she was a kitty cat. they would give her some lovely valium to be able to touch her at the vets.

it was like watching mutual of omaha. see the wild saber tooth attempt to kill all in its new territory… the lead human uses the tranq. dart. the saber tooth takes off. then the tranq. goes through her system, she wobbles, she is down!!

then as we would lay her on the scale she would slowly growl and hiss. she couldn’t move, but she still let us know she was ready to take us on as soon as the veil lifted just a bit. then anytime someone touched her the lazy growl and hiss. it kept everyone on their toes.

there would be this wee little tip of tongue out, it was kinda cute and sad at the same time.

i hope your little furry one is doing well.
