I decided to do a little spring cleaning on my computer and then I couldn’t use LimeWire (a file sharing program) as I needed Java. I went to Java.com and downloaded it, then restarted the computer like it requested. Now I can’t open LimeWire at all and when I go to Java.com the browser closes itself. A little help?
Hmm… I don’t know if this will work, but try going into the Add or Remove Programs control panel and uninstalling LimeWire. Then, look for any Java runtime environments you can find (there may be more than one). Uninstall them all and then reboot the system.
Then reinstall the latest Java runtime from Java.com and then reinstall Limewire.
Sorry if that doesn’t work.
Thank you for the suggestion, but no dice.

Are you using XP? Can you auto-restore to a time before you deleted files?
I second what cyos is saying, my wife constantly seems to hit some magic combination of keys which stretches the screen out of her laptop, I try reload the display driver and nothing, but when I roll back to a point I’m sure this screen crap wasn’t around… voila!
Good luck, this sure is a weird one…
Yes and how can I do that?
For Win XP/XP-Pro
Start, Programs/All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore!
Again, nada (or I suppose tal vez, nada), but that restore trick could be handy. Thank you.
