OK, my theory is that Saddam was assassinated by Cuban nationalists trained by the CIA, funded by the Mafia, and operating under the direct orders of the military industrial complex agency I like to call “the beast”, who with the authority from the Joint Chiefs of Staff…… ah, damn it, I knew I should not have watched Oliver Stones “JFK” last night….

For the record, I’m even more convinced SH is dead or seriously injured. Let’s face it, he has not said A WORD since the OLGS!!! C’mon, if he were alive would he be so utterly mute? I don’t think so. Even if he were hunkered down in a bunker he’d record and release an audio address.
As for those recent video clips of him supposedly conducting a warroom meeting, I think they’re even more proof that SH is out of commission. If they were real, would SH look so utterly – shall we say – non-defiant. I mean he and his guys looks like they’re waiting for a haircut or something. The clips are bogus and Saddam is history or circling the drain.
Wire reports out of Iraq today quote intelligence sources as saying that Hussein was wounded in the initial missile strikes and taken from the site in an ambulance, but they do not believe that he was critically wounded. Best bet looks like that the spot really was taped or filmed with a double, but Saddam will be back in action before too much longer.

Dictators have a penchant for long-winded speeches and fiery rhetoric. His televised speech was too generic, too tempered.
Ostensibly, his elder son was either wounded or killed during the initial attack, yet Saddam did not present as a man who had lost/almost lost his son. One would expect fiery oratory, with several specifics.
Another point: it’s been several days since the first attack, yet Saddam hasn’t surfaced yet. With a nation spiraling out of control and in need of a central command figure, that makes no sense, especially given Saddam is a flaming narcissist/megalomaniac.
Another thought: maybe he and Osama are putting together a “greatest hits” CD.
