Well, I certainly appreciate knowing – now – that there was at least one reader that saw what I thought was obvious.
And I also appreciate knowing that as six or eight people piled on me, you were confident I was holding my own and didn’t need the help.
But the truth is that I would have very much welcomed a small showing of support in the form of a post or two. I’m not saying you had to leap into the fray - just a single post along the lines of, “Hey, it’s six to one here, and the six of you on one side aren’t arguing, but insulting.”
So perhaps the next time you see something similar, you’ll consider posting, even if you think the target of the attack doesn’t need it. Because I think I’m on safe grounds in saying that the target of the attack will probably appreciate it.

Bush hasn’t even tried to get Osama lately, but his stated rationalization is that Osama just doesn’t matter.
