I used to be Bibliovore

'ning, Bib!

Welcome back!

Hi!

Howdy!

Oh lord, I found an old pic of myself gurning at the camera that was taken at one of the old Londopes. How do I upload a pic?

In both countries. But I have to file two sets of tax returns too, so - mixed blessing.

As for what I’m up to - these days, it’s working from home, homeschooling the child, and trying to stay sane, same as many others.

Likewise, working from home. Married with three kids and trying to make a success of the new creative agency I’ve founded along with a couple of co-workers.

Adulting is hard.

Ain’t it just.

If I could have, I’d have stolen that name. I suppose I could be Book Magpie, but I’ve been Morgyn a long time now.

I’ll definitely take that as a compliment, thank you. :slightly_smiling_face:

“BookEater” is a good one too, as is “Librivore”? But if you’re used to Morgyn, then stick with it.

You can’t, from your device. But if you upload it on Imgur, for example, you will be able to copy paste it here.

Hi Bib!

Wow. Man, that’s an interesting way to discover I’m no longer one of the gang.

Sam! Oh my god, how are you?! How old is your daughter now? She must be at Uni by now!

She’s 22! And yes, she’s sort of in her third year (did an art foundation course first). Going to have to defer since she can’t do it from home or in person.

I also remember you. Welcome back

Welcome back! I remember being entertained by seeing the UK Dopers writing about language differences betwixt US and UK.

A dear cousin was talking of her travels to England, where she was trying to get her hotel to bring that thing like a very small towel, for washing your face. She learned to ask for a flannel. I said if she asked for a flannel in a US hotel, she might get a plaid shirt.

My dad was a bibliovore. He seemed to inhale them, and it seemed weird to me when I was a kid. Fortunately, I later learned to do that myself.

By golly, I did meet you! And now I have had to create an Imgur account just to prove it!
