Gundy, although the Phlegm Fast diet did indeed help me shed those extra 25 pounds that resulted from moving back into the same city as my mother (moving, in fact, back into her house for about a year, until I found a jpb and a place of my own) and her smothered chicken, I do not recommend it.
Good God, it was awful, and when it was over, I looked like something horrible had happened to me. (One friend came by my house and, upon entering, eyed me critically and said: “You look all… emaciated and shit.” Ahh, the eloquence of adolescent boys…)
On top of that, my mother had just embarked upon a three-month visit to my sister out of state, so there wasn’t even any smothered chicken to plump me back up. 
And OMG, I’m in love with everybody’s dog! I just have to contribute to that little hijack. I don’t have any of the puppy just yet, but here’s Ezra-in-a-Basket:
