I Want You to Want Me

Irrelevant to the thread, but I just want to pop in and say that LTC is one of the best bands around today, who were competely mistreated and underpromoted by Warner Bros. following the success of the “Here & Now” single. Wholesale Meats & Fish should have been a HUGE hit for them, and Go! is one of the best albums I have bought in the past 5 years. I listen to it constantly.

Kay Hanley is a great lyricist, considering the usual lack of imagination in the genre (how many “alternative” artists can use “retribution” and “stultifier” correctly in sentences?), the playing is superlative, and they are consistently inventive when it comes to melody. Any music fan who isn’t sucked in by songs like “Awake,” “Demon Rock,” “Anchor,” or “Veda Very Shining” is tin-eared.

Okay, I give up. USA doesn’t like lyrics online, some copyright issue. But music lovers around the world can send in their email about what lyrics are for some songs. Catch is, the site isn’t in the US but its in english.

Search for the Five Americans if you’d like the aha songs.

Baglady: I graduated from high school in 1985. I remember every single freaking one of those bands.
aaaaaaaaaaaagh…

Flyp, do you just not want to buy the 10 Things I Hate BAout You soundtrack?

Of course, you may not want to buy the 10 Things I Hate About You soundtrack either.

::grumble, grumble…stupid keyboard…grumble, grumble::

You know, that is pretty funny. He probably didn’t even have a chick over making him watch it. Wuss.

I hate you all.

Okay, yes, I watched 10 Things I Hate About You. Yes, contrary to Jophiel’s belief, there were females around making me watch it (well, not letting me change the channel). But hey, what can you expect from that theiving trollup? He got a buck from Valerie to smooch with Uncle B and never shared the buck.

Oh, and, yeah, evilbeth, I’d rather not buy the soundtrack if I can help it.

What was wrong with 10 Things I hate about you? I watched it alone, and I liked it… huh? I liked the soundtrack too…
And don’t start telling me I’m some kind of freak… cause i know it already…

heh. soulsling watched * 10 Things I Hate About You.* Heh.

Sorry, soul, but I did it to Flyp twice, and fair is fair.

Actually, sling, 10 Things did have the redeeming quality of using a Shakespeare storyline. Much better than, say, Party Girl or some other equally mindless drivel.

you’re some kind of freak

Yea, and * Clueless* was good because it was based on Emma. Rationalization! So tell me, Flyp, how was She’s All That? ::Swiddles bobs and weaves her way out of the room::

Well, the girl was pretty hot.

What was wrong with Party Girl? There was a time I partied with Parker myself, and hooked her up with my manager for a date. I liked that movie…
Mindless dribble indeed… ::…as soulsling drools all over keyboard with::

The 90 minutes immediately preceding the end credits, for starters.

So I’ll bet now someone’s gonna tell me Chicken Run wasn’t worth the $9.50 I spent on it either huh?

Well, now we’re just getting off-topic. I’ll try and get us back on track.

Heh. Flypsyde and soulsling watched * 10 Things I Hate About You.* Heh.

It’s a tough job, but sometimes you just gotta step up to the plate.

That Swim. You can always count on her to come through in the crunch.

I’ll have you know I’m saving that buck until 10 Things I Hate About You is on the $1.00 rack at the local video store. I hear Uncle Beer wanted to see it with me. His choice, not mine.

I watch them on purpose. Yeah, you heard me. ON PURPOSE. Over and over again, even, especially Clueless.

Hmph.
