I was addicted to escorts - ask me anything

Same thing. Totally.

But he’s still seeing girls from “massage parlors” and deceiving his “valued person”. Don’t you think if what you’re saying were true he would either come clean and stop the hjs or at least stop the hjs?

By that token, you’re saying everything you do for money is prostitution. I can’t believe that is true. Pretty young girls can have good jobs. It’s possible to work hard and get a degree and have a fulfilling career. Prostitution is in no way fulfilling. There is no short cuts. And no free lunches.

Could you expand on this? From what I can see, some folks are being a little less than supportive, but many are rightfully pointing out that a) the OP is not being honest with his partner, and b) the OP is not being honest with himself in dealing with an addiction.

Beck, Ambivalid was being sarcastic. Clearly a janitorial job is not the same thing as being a prostitute.

I wasn’t speaking to peoples reactions with regards to the OP and His wife. Nor was I speaking to his addiction.

I was speaking to the fact that some here seem to think providers must all be broken, self hating, drugged out losers.

And I was speaking to the fact that some here find it “funny” that sex workers prefer to be called “providers”. Ha, ha, isn’t that funny? It’s like when Negros insisted we start refering to them as “black” or “African American” Ha ha, silly Negroes!

Ahh, I see. Sorry Ambivalid.

Escorts? Oh man I hate those! Just gotta keep the civilians alive and make it through hostile territory. So annoying.

… Which is why so many women who could get jobs as cleaners opt for sex work instead.

It’s not they who are avoiding the term ‘sex worker’, it’s the ‘users’ that need to sugar coat this, and they’re not fooling anyone, but themselves, by the way.

And you knew one once who was a CPA, so clearly it’s wrong to imply they are damaged. Keep telling yourself whatever makes it okay for you, but again, everyone can see through that somewhat lame reasoning.

And I think you’ll discover even hotel maids jobs etc, don’t go to drug addicts/users.

You know a lot of ‘winner’ prostitutes do you?

What a load of poor reasoning and blatant rationalizations. Wow, the things some men can convince themselves of, never cease to amaze.

No kidding, particularly explaining away the prevalence of sex trafficking.

Another spot-on comparison! All we need for a BINGO is a Holocaust reference.

Maybe it’s because I was just reading this New Yorker article, but this leads me to wonder when virtual reality will close the gap. I’m guessing around 2050 — too late for me!

Again more ignorance. 'Provider" is the preferred vernacular chosen by sex workers.

And the CPA girl isn’t just a one off. There are thousands of them. Mostly college girls, that will be coming out of their college education debt free.

And to answer your question: Yes, I know a lot of winner “prostitutes”. You don’t know WTF you’re talking about.

In theory, sounds like a dirty job that needs to be done.

Then I try to imagine seeing something like Trump taking its pants off. Dear Jebus! I’d rather clean the worst toilet in Scotland.

True. One is easier than the other.

Sounds like looking for a roofer on Angie’s List.

I didn’t find it that much of a rush. :genie::female_sign:

Obviously too subtle my reference was.

It was in a movie, a western parody (could have been Support Your Local Sheriff, or similar), and the town sheriff (could have been Harry Morgan) was euphemistically describing a prostitute as a member of the “oldest profession”, and his sheltered, grade school age son piped up “I thought you said being a lawman was the oldest profession?”

I’d like to know how much you figure you spent, altogether, to support your addiction?

Have you ever tried a rentboy? If all you’re getting is a bj, word has it that they’re better than the girls.
