Is it possible to buy SDMB ‘T’ shirts? and if not why not?
Picture these scenarios:-
You walk into a bar/pub/club whatever and on the back of your T- shirt is proudly emblazed [insert doper name] on the front of the shirt in uppercase “SDMB”
Before you know it some beautiful wench/handsome guy has come rushing up squealing “It’s …it’s The famous spogga”…fancy a shag?
You’re stood on a street corner begging and somebody shoves a ten spot into your hand, whispers the secret code word [Cecad]
invites you home for a slap up meal and unlimited access to his wife/daughter/son/sheep/blow up rubber choirboy/mother…etc.
Why before you know it we Dopers have a society similar to the Freemasons, secret handshakes,initiation rites,jobs for the ‘members’ and so on.
It’s only a short step to total world domination ruled by a benevolent dictator named Cecil.
The end of war, famine,religion and racial intolerance…mankind living in total harmony.
If on the other hand T shirts are already available then this post was an absolute waste of time.
Let’s see - how’s about “Followers of Cecil in the United Kingdom” (tho’ I s’pose if you want to fit on your handle too, just the acronym would be OK).
A few years back I walked into my class and noticed one of MY students had a SDMB shirt on. My eyes nearly bugged out of my head. I did not want a student knowing I was a doper, thus removed my mug from my office and never give any hints I am a part of this message board. The last thing I would want would be a student to say, "So Prof. <my name>, whats your SDMB name?
