Well, now I don’t feel bad about singing into a hairbrush along to Billy Joel’s “Glass Houses” in front of the mirror in my sister’s room. Why I was in my sister’s room and not my own then, I have no idea. Probably because she was out on a date and I wasn’t and she was the one with the record player.
And no, that was not today.
Today I was jamming in the mirror in my dining room to “Jump In the Line”.

I have air guitar OCD. I play along to everything, sometimes just by drumming chord and riff patterns on the table or the bar, but lots of times I just let 'er rip without even thinking about it. My college roommates bet me $50 that I couldn’t go a whole week without playing air guitar.
I lost in less than a day. Stupid Cemetary Gates.
That being said, I am a real guitarist, and believe it or not I’ve figured out how to play a few things by air guitaring along and correctly figuring out patterns. I’m pretty sure that’s how I learned to play Simple Man by Lynynrd Skynyrd, so it’s not all bad.
