I will be having a telephone interview tomorrow with this company in Toronto that I really want to work with… technical writer for a place that makes ebook readers… I really wanted to talk to someone there and ask questions, and then they called me!
Bon chance!
Merci! J’espère, j’espère…
Nice! Good luck.
I fly in and out of Toronto occasionally for work. The little parts of the city I’ve seen show promise.

Make sure suit is nice and ironed. Good luck.
Had a telephone interview for my new job on Thursday, Feb 9th. They called back 45 minutes later and offered me the job. Put in my notice the next day, started the 27th.
Absolutely loving it so far. Hell, I’m even happy with the bus ride, and I’ve never wanted to ride the bus in the past (it’s just a lot cheaper and more convenient than driving downtown and paying for gas and parking and all that).
Hope you knock it out of the park and get the job!
Go into it knowing you’re the best person for the job.
Good luck!
Well, the job description they sent along with the message this morning was like they read my résumé. I even have all of the “nice to have” experience except experience with SGML…
I’ve been interested your work saga because internet-wise you are relatively near to us. Hope all goes well. :0)
Bona sorto!
No, I haven’t learned Esperanto, I’m hoping the translator I used it got it right…
Dankon! Thanks! “Sorto” means “fate” or “doom”, not “luck”, so it sort of works…
Off-topic Esperanto joke: “Sorcx-trumpeto” means “trumpet of sorcery”. “Sort-sxtrumpeto”, which is pronounced almost identically, with just a difference in the pause between words, means “sock of doom”.
(On the iPhone, I have to use sx and cx in place of the proper accented s and c. Apologies.)
Hey, good luck!
So there was a transcription error and Joshua didn’t really use a lot of bugles but stink those folks out?
best of luck in the interview!
Aiiee! The phone interview is over, and I’m not sure how I did. The interviewer asked questions about ‘what kind of corporate culture would you like to work with’ and I really wasn’t sure how to answer. I talked about interest in technology and wanting to help people, but I’m not quite sure that that was what she was getting at…
Sending out lucky thoughts!
The nude kind.
IMHO - Corporate, driven, professional, performance focused vs. fun loving, relaxed, as long as you get-the-job-done vs. small family run, everyone is family and we all pitch in on everything vs. high growth start-up with lots of future potential for advancement vs. 150 year old established organization with lots of senior people doing what they’ve done for years vs. etc.
There is no right answer, it’s more about if you and the environment would fit each other.
Well, I didn’t get the job.
The lady invited me to keep in touch though.
Damn I was hopeful when I saw your name as the most recent poster.
Sorry
