I have had it and it really really sucks. If you catch it quick you can get him on some anti-virals that help. Otherwise it’s painkillers - for months.

Home from men’s night over to the church house. Ok, been home for a bit but dealt with domesticated stuff before checkin’ in. Had a really, really good time tonight. So did OYKW. Our retired Priest came to join us. One of the guys brought a pint jar of some cinnamon flavored homemade hooch (potent stuff but tres yum!) his father made. Retired Priest made the comment that he didn’t know what to think, he leaves and people start bringin’ moonshine to men’s night. YP is standin’ right there beside him (and me) as he said this so I piped up and said, “I know, our new Priest has brought in a very unsavory element since he’s been here.” 
I think I am now on double sooper secret possibly never, never, ever to come off of probation. I may even be called up for extra special never been done before confession this Sunday. I fear it may even involve the castin’ out of demons.
Now I need to go beddy bye.

He started getting the rash on Thursday, and he didn’t start anti virals until today, so hopefully he caught it early enough for it to do something, but poor baby is in a lot of pain, he is taking Tramadol for the pain. I think he is trying to steal my thunder. When I go in to labor I better not hear anything about his shingles, LOL.
P.S. I diagnosed it via the googles on Thursday but he was in denial until it got really bad over the weekend. I WAS RIGHT AND HE WAS WRONG,

My family is planning a huge New Year’s Eve party. There have ben about 200 texts about it so far (there are about 20 people in the conversation). My oldest cousin jumped in at one point to say she about fainted when she saw that she had 154 unread texts, and don’t any of us have a job? Which triggered a series of smart remarks, of course.
So far, we’ve decided on a destination, but are still talking about dates and hotels/condos/etc. I am amused.
Should be asleep. Of course, am not sleepy. Will read for a while.

Well, my cubicle is emptied of my personal stuff, my computer history is purged, and I gave my badge to FCD. With him retiring, I honestly don’t expect to be called back to work there. Plus I beat their backlog into submission - if the two remaining draftsman can’t handle the workload, that’s pretty pathetic. And anyway, all the CAD software was removed from my computer - apparently they had some unlicensed installations. :eek: They figured it out during an internal audit.
**FCD **was packing up his office also. He talked to his boss and said he’d work/burn up vacation thru the end of June but they may just want him to go now. Whatever - we’ll deal.

I need to futz with my shampooer - the scrubber is working again, but *someone *hooked up the water lines incorrectly, and instead of spraying, it bubbles in the holding tank. I looked at it carefully yesterday and I may remember how it goes… maybe… we shall see.
Dreary, rainy day, and my back is still aching. I definitely have to do touch-up painting today. Beyond that, who knows and who cares?
