So on top of still being pregnant I got diagnosed with bronchitis today! I went to the OB and they said I still haven’t progressed at all and they’re not going to discuss scheduling any kind of induction or C section until my cervix is more favorable, whatever that means.
I feel frustrated and depressed and anxious all the same time. This just really sucks.
I knew Spineydoc was a smart cookie, but today, I discovered that he’s a clever and creative cookie.
Last year, he received a patent for a device for preparing graft material used in spinal fusions. No idea yet if he’ll be using it on me next month. I’m guessing not as medical devices tend to have a rather long development, testing and certification cycle before they can be sold.

I’m on a mission ------- from Gawd.
Really. I took the week off to help my local Benedictines empty their old convent and finish settling into their new convent - get the old place (3 houses, huge motherhouse and one school) broom clean and ready for the new owners. This isn’t just “hands across the water/lend-lease” stuff from a Lutheran to the Papists or anything - Sister Jeane OSB is my Aunt-in-Law and knows where I live. And I just can’t say no to “Da Penguin”.
Speaking of which – DOGGIO - how did you like the overtime game? Glad it came down to an honest clean goal.
I found a recipe for a no-bake-sugar-free-strawberry cheesecake that sounds really easy and really good. I’m going to make it for the inlaws’ visit. Tomorrow I’ll get the ingredients, except for the berries - I’ll get those on Thurs.
We just cleaned most of the guest room. On Thurs, we’ll vacuum, dust, and change the linens in there so it’ll be all ready for our guests. I’m thinking tomorrow will be bathroom-scrubbin’ day. Yay.
Howdy from da cave. The ick has pretty much gone away. Jambalaya for dindin and a green sallit with garlic bread. Not sure if’n I should eat the jambalaya but it smells good!
I feel so bad for all the people who lost their lives, children, homes, and everything else in the terrible tornados in OK. Really puts some perspective on my own pain/suffering which seems insignificant in comparison.
April, I’m sorry to hear about your health problems. I really hope that the rest of your pregnancy goes well and that things clear up for you soon.
swampy, why shouldn’t you eat the jumbalaya?
FairyChatMom, that cake sounds delicious!!! Can I stop by for a piece?
$2.99 - You are most welcome, but you may have to fight my FIL for some. He has a serious sweet tooth, and for an 83-y/o, he’s pretty tough…
Supper was good - chickie strips, steamed broccoli, and some canned pears. I’s stuffded! And I got motivated - the dishwasher is loaded and running. Normally I wait till the next morning. Go me!
Yeah, but I have to stay away from ibuprofen and aspirin. They don’t play nice with my blood issues. After some yoga and a hot shower I feel better.
If the model would get her hands off her shoulders, I could see the top of the sleeves and tell you.
I’ve been watching Twin Peaks. God, I love that show. I’m limiting myself to one episode a day so I can enjoy it more. And by “it” I mean Kyle McLachlan’s sexy sexiness.
The only downside* is that it’s making me crave coffee like The Cat Who… series does. I’ve always been food suggestible with media.
*There are actually two downsides, but the other is mitigated by being in a small apartment. I have to remain within dashing distance of the computer so I can fast-forward through all the scenes of Leo The Abusive Jackass Husband because I hate him that much.
$2.99 I et the jambalaya anyways. I was kinda worried it my bring back the tummy ick from earlier today but it didn’t. Crisis averted. All is well. Hope you’re feelin’ better today.
I feel like I could go beddybye right now. I feel so sleepy!
Sounds like it might well have been better than mine: cottage cheese, pear, Mt. Dew. Slept poorly last night thanks to snoring spouse, then HFM decided to start pestering me to get up and feed her about fifteen minutes before the alarm went off.
