I wish it would snow

It was over 90 degrees out, today, with no breeze at all, and it’s just horrible. I feel trapped inside the house, since the minute you step outside you get all sticky with sweat, which attracts the mosquitoes, and the cloud of gnats that try to fly into every uncovered hole in your body. Plus I really should be sleeping, but the house is too warm, and the fan isn’t really helping the situation.

So my wish at this moment would be for a nice Western NY style snowstorm to come and provide me with lots of cold, white shimmery snow. Yes, it’ll destroy the crops, and might cause a few traffic problems, and I could just wish that the air conditioner was installed instead, but I’m willing to sacrifice some things for a couple of days of winter. I ran this by my friend, but she seems to actually prefer the summer weather, to the wonderful winter climate that we had a few months back :dubious: (I blame the fact that she’s from Florida).

So, who’s with me? Feel free to share your mundane and selfish wishes too.

Although I’m on vacation in a warmer climate today, this is what it’s like where I live.

You could hang out there for a couple of days.

Summer should start in about a month.

Yes, snow, but only for 1 day. That would be fine. I feel like sledding. I would prefer 70 degrees to snow, though.

Aw…Omega, we coulda had a mini-Buffalo Dopefest?
Certainly we could have got a few people together at the Anchor Bar or SOMETHING!

Right?

It’s hot and humid as heck out here. I realized I am much much better at making myself warm than I am at making myself cool.

I’m with you on the snow. I love winter and hate summer.
It was hot (in the 90s) yesterday and we’re getting more of the same today.
The dreaded Baltimore humidity isn’t quite in full force yet, but you could feel an inkling of it.
I hate summer.

Is it October yet?

Fttt. Amatuers. Here it Atlanta it’s 8:00am and it’s already 80-plus degrees. It’ll be in the mid-90s before long and I’ll have a long day of appointments and pounding the pavement downtown. I am a pround African warrior and I love me some sun, man. I am a nubian sun-worshipping disciple who fears no heat. Bring on the sun. Gimme here!

Can the proud nubian sun-worhipping disciple get some ice water?

I am a cold weather person. I don’t want to wish my life away, but I’ll be glad when summer is OVER.

Meh, really not so much with the humid - it’s been running 88-90 in Youngstown, but it really isn’t so humid. There’s enough humidity to make it feel a little muggy, but not so much that I feel at home.
And the snow can stay far away. I’m a southerner on what I’m trying to convince myself is a brief stay here (that’s lasted nearly 2 years so far…).
