When I read this article, I actually thought for a minute it was real. Then realised it was from the Onion and sighed because quite frankly it’s exactly how I would feel if I was Obama.

I still remember the Onion headline after the election: Black man gets America’s worst job. They didn’t know how right they were.
Clearly you **can **make this stuff up and have it be very believable.
That was one of my favorite headlines ever.
An alternate headline: “Contractor Discovers How Hard It Is Working Fulltime”.

My favourite Onion article is still God angrily clarifies “Don’t kill” rule. 
They did a similarly prophetic article at the start of the Bush administration, too: Bush: ‘Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over’
I’ve often wondered how many politicians who actually got into it because they wanted to *do *something reached the point where they wanted to say “Screw you guys, I’m going home!” - in Cartman’s voice, of course. Can’t you just see that in a City Council meeting or a School Board meeting? Heck, I’d like to get elected just to do that myself!

I’m afraid Calgary’s new mayor is going to do just that - he’s fighting with all the incumbent idiots who do stupid things for stupid reasons, and I’m afraid he’s just going to give up and go back to the private sector where he won’t have as many idiots being quite as stupid.
