Icing down the MMP

Round here most shipping places will accept packing materials. Especially peanuts and air pillows.

Home in my robe. Feeling like I may be getting a sinus infection. One side of my haid feels stopped up and when I am able to get something loose it’s kinda greenish yellow. I know TMI. Sorry. I have a few days of leftover Augmentin from the last go round with the funky sinuses so have started those. If necessary I shall see Doc on Moanday. I thought all my sinus woes were over since surgery almost two years ago but I guess not.

At irk I have an old bus that we hardly ever use cause it’s old, ugly and even though it runs OK I wouldn’t trust it on a long trip. We use it about once a month to do an INDOC tour for noobs. The driver came to take it for a spin in anticipation of needing to use it next Firday. He was soon back and took me outside where it appears the windshield took a rogue softball. Yes, it is parked by the fence next to the ball field. Got the quote and OK to get it fixed with the caveat from me that we find a new parking spot. A bus windshield is only $250 installed. I expected it to be more and it will be fixed on Tuesday. That was my Firday excitement.

So happy for the weekend.

Roxy has crashed, **FCD **is actually in the house rather than in his office. I’m not sure how to act.

Howdy Y’all! We supped and now ‘tis rainy out. Hope it’s not rainy in the mornin’ due to the need to spruce up the church yahd. We shall see. For now it’s chill time and maybe an early beddy bye cause I feel sleepy.

Home from a long day followed by a pretty good Mexican dinner. The results of which will be TBD for both of us.

(I went way overboard on their secret Gringo-killing-sauce)
**SWAMPY ** - we posted the exact same minute. Wie süß.

Evening all. Rained all day and looks like it will rain most of the night and tomorrow, so I expect soccer to be called off for Saturday and probably Sunday. The schedulers will be burning the midnight oil to reschedule the games.

Me, I spent most of the day in the house except to go out for dinner (Smashburger is not bad and they give you a heap of fries) and picked up 5 2-Liter Pepsi for $099 each and argued with the electronic cashier (I’m TRYING to put the stuff where you want me too, but the &&* plastic bags won’t open, ya stupid &*^&&% machine).

Feel better soon, Butters

flyboy, maybe I need to try that with the excess bubble wrap I have.

Nut, glad you got the book and the apocalypse was averted (for now…)

All y’all stay dry (I plan too…)

Nothing quite like waking at 3:30 on Saturday morning. Dammit. It’s gonna be a long day…

Happy Saturday anyway.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 86 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. The big plan of the day is to spiff up the yahds over to the church house this mornin’. We shall gather around nine and will be done before noon. Really I expect no more than a couple hours work as things are in pretty good shape. After that chillage shall ensue. Sup shall be leftover boxed lasagna (don’t judge!), along with sallit and cheesey garlic bread. Let it rain I say. I’ll be inside and dry.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall make myself semi-presentable and head on over to the church house.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Happy Saturday!

It’s a cloudy 48 degrees outside, supposed to be cloudy all day, with rain predicted for this afternoon and a high of 63.
Hopefully, the rain will hold off until after the doggie costume parade. I didn’t enter my pups, but some of their friends are participating, so we will be there to watch.

I woke up too early, but got up anyway.
I’ll probably squeeze in a nap sometime today.

I think my son is better, but my tummy is still feeling icky. I’d rather stay home this morning, but I know in the long run it’s much better to get the pups out for a bit.

It took my son forever to do his one assignment yesterday. He had to record a 5 minute video of himself talking about a business topic. I told him over and over, do NOT wait until the last day to do this. You have to download the app to do the recording, then you have to test it, and adjust the settings… and then you have to record yourself. It took him three hours to record a 5 minute video, because, as I had warned him, you are going to make mistakes, leave something out, stutter, stumble over your words, mispronounce something, put in too many ummms, etc. It is not easy to talk 5 minutes non-stop unless you are very familiar with, and enthusiastic about, your topic.
I had to sit outside while he was doing it, because the dogs were trying to play the whole time, and they were background noise in the recording.
But it’s done.

Morning all. Got up to the expected cancellation of all soccer games today, and with more rain in the forecast, I suspect tomorrow’s games will be cancelled too. it’s 68F out right now and looks like it’ll stay int he 60’s-70’s this week, so the temperature is cooperating with the Fall season.

Now got to figure out what to do, it’s my first free Saturday in a month…

Awake. Blurf. I think I will cook up some sausage, onion and mushrooms and make an omelette, hungry this morning. Never did eat any sup last night.

Other than that I need to spiff up the house because hubby’s friend that visits often is coming in today. I feel like my weekend is ruined but whatever. I just wanted a nice quiet weekend, people free. But Tis gonna happen so I shall make the best of it.

I also have laundry and puppy playing to do. Happy weekend all!

Home a bit early today.
We all left when the parade people started setting up.
I wanted to watch, but it is colder than I thought it would be, and now that I am home I don’t feel like going back out.
The Mummers Parade is this afternoon, I don’t know what all roads will be closed, but I was planning on staying in all day anyway.

My stomach still feels a bit queasy, just as well that I stay in.

Today not much is happening but tomorrow, after missing a year, the Night of the Singing Dead returns and we got good seats for it! Two years of terrific dead stars AND Godzilla.

and one of my personal favorites https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgh-pe46voE

Glad the hubby is feeling better butters!

Johnny, was the squash raw or cooked? I know most dogs like winter squash and that there are a lot of recipes out there for homemade doggy treats using pumpkin, so it wouldn’t surprise me that cats do.

Hope you’re feeling better soon sari.

Sis got in shortly after I got home from irk yesterday. We had a nice supper at the Thai Lao place a couple of miles away. Nelson’s father was feeling much better (no road food for him this end of the trip, only regular dog food). She left early this morning for Houston. I hope she drives out of the rain that we’ve had for the past couple of days.

Time to do KP and go get groceries.

Happy Saturday!

missred, the squash was cooked.

Up just before seven. (It’s ten after now.) I would have slept later, but Mr. Howl was at it. He’s still howling. Sometimes I wonder if Tonka is becoming feeble-minded in his old age.

The coffee is done. I drink now.

First load in the dryer, second in the washer, baby down for a nap, and in a few minutes, I get to clean the critter fountain - YAY! :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s dreary and overcast and we’re promised rain all day tomorrow. At least it’s not hot.

Howdy Y’all! Home from spiffin’ up the yahds at the church house. Actually we’ve been home a while but needed to take care of necessary things like a beer, a shower, and then a sammich. I foresee nappage in short order. No rain yet but looks like 'tis headed this way. Bring it on, I say!

Last load in the dryer. Roxy’s first nap lasted about 10 minutes, but she’s down for real now. I hope…

And the second nap also lasted 10 minutes. She’s working her way on The List for today.

Good evening, folks. Well, it has been quite interesting, these past few days. We ended up buying a new (to us) vehicle. It’s a 2015 Jeep Renegade. That was this past Wednesday. Then, on Thursday, a strange woman ruined my day, because she’s insane, I guess. it happened like this:

I went to the local Walmart, to pick up my Rx. Somewhere between the pharmacy, and the checkouts, I started to feel a tiny bit wonky. So, I moved my trolley to the side of the aisle, pulled out my trusty CGM scanner, and checked my BG. All of a sudden, I noticed a woman was beside me, watching me scan my sensor.
She said, “What IS that?!”
I said, “It’s a blood glucose monitor.”
She said (Regarding the sensor that is attached to my upper arm), “Did you DO that? Yourself? Stick it in yourself?!”
I said, “Yes. It monitors my blood glucose, and I don’t have to stick my fingers 50 times a day. It’s very handy!”
She said, “You WILLINGLY took the mark of the devil! You’ll be sorry you ever did that!”
Then, she just sauntered away, and went about her business.
I swear, I stood there with my mouth hanging open! Tears started to sting my eyes. I didn’t bawl, although, I sure could have, if I had let myself. I don’t know why it bothered me like it did. But, it did! The entire exchange took all of five seconds, or so. Threw off the rest of my day. I couldn’t even carry on a proper conversation with a couple of friends that I saw checking out!
This morning, a friend told me that I should have hissed at her. I think that would have been excellent. Bawahahaha!

Anyway, it has been a rainy day. Windy, too. It’ll be much nicer tomorrow, though. So, there’s that.

Earlier, I got somewhat bored, and made a pot of Hamburger & Vegetable Soup. It turned out to be quite tasty. Win!

Have a peaceful night, everyone.

Holy crap, Nona!! What a whack job!! Then again, it was Walmart… FWIW, I don’t think you’ll be sorry you WILLINGLY took the mark of the devil.

**FCD **and I went to supper at Red Robin. I lurve their wedge salad. Now we’re home and vegging shall ensue.
