Ok, so I saw this movie on TV a long time ago, 1991 or before. It involved some older woman struggling with these “creatures” or something that looked like mostaccioli coming out of her drain. She didn’t speak much, but seemed pretty terrified of them, and kept grunting. I think there may have been someone shooting at her house, or something that caused her window to break.
It was an older movie then, so late 1960’s or 1970’s.
I know its vague…but that is the only scene I can remember. I’ve tried for several years to figure out what this movie is.
1.) That sounds like the old Twilight Zone episode The Invaders, and
2.) What the hell is mostaccioli?
Having looked up mostaccioli, I have to concede that it can’t be the TZ episode. Your saying that it was in color clinches that.
Did the Pasta have teeth? Because it’s possible that you were seeing The Deadly Spawn from 1983, a low-budget film that was better than you’d expect (although I don’t recall a scene exactly as you describe)
Aye, the description in the OP sounds like The Deadly Spawn. I don’t recall the drain scene, but I do remember that there was a kitchen scene where one of them was on the losing end of a fight with a food processor or blender.
OP sounds a little like “They came from within”, aka “Shivers”, but there was a lot of sex stuff going on in that movie so it’s likely not it because that would be more memorable.
It’s not They Came From Within, I watched that on YouTube, and plan on adding it to my collection of low budget movies. Although the creatures look more like mostaccioli in that than they do in The Deadly Spawn, I think, with pretty good accuracy, that it is The Deadly Spawn. I saw the kitchen scene online, and it isn’t how I remembered it, but I know how my mind works…and it’s a good bet that is it.
I confused the spilled peaches with maggots, and the counter for the sink. I knew this was it when I saw the two mouse holes in the wall…I remember them being there, but didn’t know what they were, and had no way of describing them, because I wasn’t sure what they were when i was younger.
I wanted to say the woman had hair like my great grandmother, but I knew that wouldn’t be helpful, and Ida Lupino has a similar hairstyle to her in this movie.
Ironically, I was looking at some of her other 70’s films, mainly The Devil’s Rain the other day.
