Everyone raise your glass for message board administrators and moderators everywhere. At this site and many others, they are working overtime to close or delete hateful threads. I have seen many derogatory messages about people based on geography or religion. I don’t have to spread their filth by printing it here.

I really enjoyed this response to one such message:
"furt, this is SO not helpful, not any day but especially not today.

Take your head out of our ass and stop this, right this second.

I’m closing this thread and we better not see anything else like this again, not from you or anyone else.

The SDMB and others have been a lifesaver the past few days. To everyone who let us talk, rant, cry, and connect in a time of worldwide crisis. Especially to be able to contact people in the area we could not call.
