ID the choral piece in this "Hannibal" commercial?

I’ve got a musical question—my first of this year, I think.

That is, can anyone tell me what choral music is used in this commercial for Hannibal Rising? The bit used in the last 10 seconds or so, specifically.

I’ve heard the same music, off and on, in movie trailers over the last decade, but this is the first time I’ve been able to find an actual recording of it. (Now I know I didn’t dream it, at least!)

Can anyone help me out?

Without even clicking the link or having seen the commercial…it’s “O Fortuna” from Karl Orff’s Carmina Burana, isn’t it?

I have Carmina Burana on CD. I’ve seen it in concert. I believe I’ve quoted Olim lacus colueram once or twice.

I can assure you, the music used in that commercial was not “O Fortuna.”

Sorry. It’s just that that always seems to be the answer to any question about choral music in a movie or movie trailer.

I have no idea if this is right, but I went looking and found a message board that mentioned ‘Casta Diva’ for one of the trailers, but the YouTube video is loading too slowly and I have no ear for comparing the songs, but that’s all I got. I want to know the answer too - I love those epic songs.

It’s already been said to not be Carmina Burana, but I’ll post to find out what it is. :slight_smile:

I have no audio on my work computer, but I will guess:

A remastered version of Requiem for a Dream soundtrack;
Or, something from E.S.Posthumus.

I will confirm or deny in a short while after I get home.
