I was thinking of Sim City, but now that I think about it, the Sims may have had the exact phrase in the scroller in the loading screen (the Sims 2 has a take off on it, but it seems to have completely left my brain).
The Legend of Zelda
This should be a doddle.
rjung:
“Ah, a creature for my amusement. Prepare for battle!”
That was Space Fury, one of my favorites.
Old arcade game:
“Destroy all bombers by 1100 hours or MIRV will be launched.”

We cleanse. You are the filth.
What’s the matter ? Did I break your concentration ?

Oh! I feel it! I feel the Cosmos!
“The Hobbit” from the Sinclair Spectrum, and probably a few other 8-bit micros.
The skinheads have taken Madonna hostage!
It’s time to kick ass and chew bubble-gum…and I’m all outta gum.

FFVII, but I can’t remember who. Aeris’ mother?
Take the law into your own hands!
Vigilante. That game was a damn one-dimensional quarter-eater. I played it a lot.
Damn it! I know this! My aunt and uncle had a Commodore 64 that I played when I visited and this was one of the games!
Chopper…something? Air lift? Chipper attack? Bah!

Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown {which also gave spawned my earlier “Hur hur. What a mess.”}
The Hobbit was a very cool game - totally ahead of its time with the artificial “Inglish” language. Sometimes it went haywire, though, with amusing results:
Thorin gives you the [sic] some lunch. You attack the chest. The chest is dead.
More phrases:
After the mothership (…) was destroyed, a craft (…) scrambled away from
it, only to be trapped in space warped by someone (easy)
Full point! (harder)
Rainbow zone… (downright obscure)
It was a martial arts game…Karate Champ?
Very good!
It’s a good thing I don’t have kids, because their college fund was used for this game. I HATED the log location.
First Sortie is from Choplifter.
She is now fleet control.
