All I can remember is a scene and a brief description.
A girl is given some sort of battle robot by her boyfriend and keeps it in her apartment.
Her landlord (or just some random fat guy) visits and says she’ll have to open the blinds in her apartment or Santa Claus won’t know to visit. The girl advises him not to but he does. Then the robot grabs him and the clip ends.
Any ideas? It would have been out in the 1980s and I only saw this on Barry Norman’s film reviews on BBC. I’ve no idea of the name at all, I was just thinking if someone had a suggestion I might like to watch it, I’ve been thinking about it on and off for years
