Idea for Episode III

There’s a thread in MPSIMS in which I mention that I have dreams which would make for good cinema. Well, I had a doozy last night. John de Lancie was a captian of an Imperial warship who had wanted his son to join the Imperial Navy too, but the son had decided the military wasn’t for him so he ran off to join the crew of a small freighter. Capt. de Lancie, though disappointed the boy had run off, helped the boy save a dying crewmember through his Imperial clout. Though the boy’s name wasn’t spoken in my dream, his identity could only have one possibility: Han Solo!

Han’s childhood and development were covered in a pretty well-written book trilogy by A C Crispin a few years back…it starts when he’s a teenager, and covers his life up until about 10 minutes before Luke and Obi-Wan walk into the Mos Eisley cantina.

Ok, so maybe not Han. Still, it would be cool to see John de Lancie in an Imperial Navy uniform.
