(Wasn’t sure where to put this)
No, but there are online font-identifiers.
I remember using WhatDaFont.com a decade ago, but there must be more/better ones by now.
(Searching for that brings up many places to get an app called WhatTheFont.)
If you just want type with that feel to it, it looks like the same family as a font called Lobster to me.
Yeah, that’s close. Thank you for that suggestion.
I once spent way too much time trying to identify the font that was our company’s logo, only to learn that it was written freehand by the founder, who was good at art and calligraphy.
Yep. I was gonna say it was probably an original font by an obscure calligraphy artist.
Especially if you consider when it was done.
Based on the various line thicknesses I suspected that might be the case.
It wasn’t done that long ago. It’s on a box of CDs but they may have copied it from an older source.
I assumed it was a copy of the original album cover.
It’s a “best of” compilation so there probably wasn’t an equivalent album.
A three CD box set would be a shit ton of LPs. They may have swiped the image from somewhere but I think someone made it fresh to look like the style of the past.
Kestrel Script is very close:
Nice.
Nailed it!
That typeface looks good with Buddy Holly, for my name… not so much. Le sigh.
I couldn’t find one, but was impressed with what a rabbit hole cursive fonts represent. I honestl had no idea!
