Identify this late '80s TV movie about the singles-bar scene ...

There was this TV movie back around maybe 1988-1992 that concerned the events of several people hanging out at the same night club looking to score, find romance, etc. It’s still shown on cable (Lifetime, We, etc.) now and then, I believe. I saw the movie again on cable within the last 6-7 years.

Here are some things I can remember about it:

  • Two of the lonely-hearts on the prowl are father and daughter. Neither knows that the other is going to be at the night club. The father sees his daughter there … and this is somehow significant to the plot. Like maybe they come to realize how much they really have in common. Something like that.

  • There are a few younger male characters looking for a one-night stand. One of these guys is married, and IIRC, makes a little bit of a fuss about covering his wedding band with a Band-Aid™ … then another fuss later about feeling guilty so he loses the Band-Aid™.

  • The most sensitive and charming of the younger male barflies ends up at a cafe at the end of the movie. Finola Hughes is there, having a cuppajoe. Mr. Sensitive makes a move on Finola, and they start well on their way to happy-couplehood.

Or at least … I think it was Finola Hughes. I could have sworn that it was her. But her IMDB profile does not show any kind of TV movie with this description. It possibly could have been another British actress, but my memory is saying “Ms. Hughes”. IMDB is saying I’m wrong.

So … does any of this ring a bell with anyone? What’s the title of this flick?

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm … looks like a real stumper here!

Could have been Jack’s Place.

That’s a guess though.

Yeah … I saw that entry. Jack’s Place was a series, though.

I must have the name of the British actress wrong.
