I don’t remember what it was called, but it was about this space rabbit. I think. He was a green rabit that flew in space and fought a bunch of monsters. I know there was a big toad in it. But I don’t remember what he was about. All I really know is that he was a big green rabbit in I believe a gold suit. Any ideas?
Are you thinking of Jazz Jackrabbit? It wasn’t for the NES, but it was at about the right time, and it did feature a green rabbit.
This horrible game was not quite as horrible as the cartoon that spawned it: Bucky O’Hare.
Granted, it was in an era of Saturday morning cartoons were being shifted to what we have now (teen vision melodramatic/crap-comedic garbage). I miss Saturday morning cartoons.
Bucky it was, thank you!
Point one - BOH was not a horrible game. It was one of the earliest console games that allowed you to choose levels and unlock characters each with their own special abilities. That was fun.
Point two - BOH was not a SatAM cartoon - it was a syndicated weekday cartoon.
Point three - however bad the actual show was is irrelevant, as the theme song more than justified the series’s existance.
Huh? Point taken. I thought for sure it was a SatAm cartoon. I didn’t give it much of a chance, admittedly, because I was more in love with my SNES at the time. Still, I do remember the cartoon sucking. I might have to hunt down a copy of this game (man, where am I going to find any time?)
