Identify this strange 80s show about slacker aliens

For some reason*, faint memories of this show recently reentered my consciousness.
All I can really remember is that the show was about two brothers who happened to be aliens. They drove around in a red convertible, getting up to “wacky” hijinks and hitting on any girl they came across. One brother had blond hair, I think the other had brown curly hair. They were vaguely loser/slacker/surfer dude personality types.

*What actually prompted this was watching BASEketball last night, and thinking the two main characters there reminded me an awful lot of the alien brothers.

Anyone have any clue what I’m talking about?

The They Came From Outer Space TV show was a sci-fi comedy series about two alien brothers who were sent by their parents to Earth to attend Oxford University. The brothers had other ideas though, and decided to live the wild & crazy life in Los Angeles, CA.

I know, I thought he may have mis-remembered that detail. I also thought it possible there had been a TV series of it made that I didn’t know about. Either way, I was pretty sure that by the time I posted that don’t ask was right.
