Do you know what’s funny about all this? The Google-fu that actually worked here was an image search for ‘bamboo disk’ - this item was on the first page of results :smack:
Not at all. We’ve solved many such puzzles in the past. The unsolved ones are in the minority.
Dunno - I reckon we only have about 50% success on ‘identify this object’ puzzles unless it’s obvious (i.e. not really a puzzle) and someone gets it in the first couple of posts.
Good guess, but you didn’t find any picture to back it up.
Also, every conveyor-belt sushi place I have eaten at offers up their items on a color-coded ceramic or plastic plate, not a fancy-pants bamboo disk with a grab handle.
I still think my toy wood burning-stove idea is cooler.
I’m still not even finding it with Mangetout’s search term “bamboo disk.” Seeing lots of nice USB flash drives though.
Okay, it finally does show up in the “bamboo disk” search here–but nothing close to the first page–it is 68 rows down for me, or around the 340th image.
