So, the story went around that if people wrote “Jedi” on census forms, the government would recognize it as an official religion. This, of course, has since been proven to be false.
But, were there or are there anyone who would identify more with “Sith”?
Y’know I read about a group of people who have formed a commune somewhere and actually call themselve Jedi (I would join, but you don’t get cool force powers, or lightsabers, so why bother). They even have a webpage.
You sure about the commune part? I didn’t see anything on that website about a commune. It looked to me like a webite someone just through together, possibly as a joke…?
It may not be this bunch with the commune, or they may simply have taken the information off of the page. I know that I saw a page that had pictures of the leading “Jedi Knights” and mentioned some sort of commune. This site looks like the one I remember.
Is this a joke? Gosh I hope so. People have been serious about goofier things though.
I was actually a member of a message board community called the Temple of the Sith for a while. Great fun, actually, we were in character all the way in our posts and in the chat room. I’m pretty sure it was started by a high-school kid, but the posts were all pretty literate.
The group died a natural death within a few months, but not before I led a successful attack on Ord Aidell and captured its shipyard, with manufacturing facilities and several newly-built ships completely intact. I managed to do this even though in mid attack, one of my younger cohorts went insane and tried to kill me on the bridge of my own ship. I turned him over to the leader of the group for, er, treatment.
BTW, I went by the moniker Darth Callista. I made it a point to let my fellow Sith know that if anyone killed Luke Skywalker before I had a chance to tell him to his face that he was lousy in the sack, I would be most displeased.
