IELTS secrets - in other words, are we being conned?

My sister is in the process of trying to take the IELTS exam - that is, Internation English Language Testing System. She’s tried it several times, and not got the results she wanted, and she’s becoming a little desperate.

On a Google search yesterday, she saw this. It calls itself the “IELTS Secret Study site” and having read through it, I’m pretty sure it’s everything my sister needs, if only it’s genuine. Unfortunately, on that count, I have my doubts.

So I ask you, fellow Dopers. Even if you have no idea what IELTS is, please just take a moment to click on the link and let me know what you think. Because we’ve reached the point where we’re willing to grasp at any straws we can, we’d go for this in a moment if only credit card details weren’t involved.

We need help, but we don’t want to be conned!

Thank you,

~Raven

It’s a downloadable e-book. I usually avoid those things, but that’s me. For the price, I’d rather a hard copy book that I can take with me. Is there anything in a library?

Also, find out how you could dispute the product through your credit card company if you are not happy with the product.

You may want to do a search for ‘IELTS braindump’. You should be able to find study guides from students who have already taken the test. Can’t vouch for the validity of said study guides, but for the most part they’re free. I did a search and turned up many sites, but all in varying languages. You’d have to add your own language to the search options. I’d also second the suggestion to check out the library. It’s likely that they’ll have a copy of a study guide for something like that. If not, they may be able to help you find a reputable one.
