Without more info, AK84 could mean nothing more signifigant than a proud Arkie who graduated high school/college/got married/got divorced/had firstborn/bought first car/some other life defining thing happened in 1984.

He’s a Pakistani barrister, isn’t he? I remember him mentioning him being at one of the inns of law in London recently, which would make him about my age. It stuck in my mind, as my sister was applying to one at the same time he mentioned it. I was born in 1984.
I always read it as AK48. Like an AK47, but one better.
