That’s why knowing Musk is so useful. He can get one of those brain chips and be a vulgar xenophobic Stephen Hawking.
And yes, I think either Haley or DeSantis.

My guess is that just about everyone in the first or second debate would jump back in, based on this logic: “This is unprecedented. The party has to consider all options, including the best one (me!).”
Why would they suddenly start doing this?
Oh, they wouldn’t. But this would be the delusional “I can save the day!” rationale for these egotistical jerks.
LMFAO!
I think flurb’s guess of Abbot makes sense. In any case, I think it would be someone whom Trump personally anoints. That would be part of any “deal” in which Trump drops out. Thus, I think the pick would be a bit unpredictable. It absolutely would not be DeSantis or Haley, since they had the gall to compete against him.
Honestly I think it would be AWESOME if that happened right now. If Trump picks a VP or drops out while endorsing a successor, I don’t see any way that person doesn’t get the nomination. But if he drops dead without having done so… the prospect of that mob of corrupt half-witted egomaniacs going into a convention with their backstabbing knives out fills me with glee. It would be like a bucket of crabs voting on which one of them gets out of the bucket.
I legitimately think the GOP could just completely collapse and we’d end up with three different candidates all competing to look as Hitlerian as possible, while accusing the others of being “spoilers” and then getting into a massive circular firing squad when Biden wins all 50 States.
But the topic really isn’t “Who will Trump pick as Vice-president?”.
If looks could tell the story then Stephen Miller
Heck, then you may have also multiple putative “insiders” getting up to claim they knew who was his choice, and the party delegates trying to decide who to believe.
Forget Vivek. Trump won’t want someone more charismatic than him.
LOLOL! 2x
Moderating:
Let’s stick to the topic of who will drop back into the race, not who Trump will pick for his VP. There’s already a thread to speculate about that:
@OttoDaFe, who Stephen Miller resembles isn’t on topic, either.
I think there were three reasons Republicans originally threw their hats in the ring:
I can’t see anyone from the second category jumping back into the game.
Is this thread then narrowed to:
(Did I miss any?)
According to how the OP is framed, I assume so.
You assume correctly. I just wanted to focus in on former candidates that might see an opportunity to get back in the game if Trump is suddenly sidelined.
Depends on whether you think Don Jr will be anything but a sideshow.
Was he a candidate at one time?
