Whenever I address IUGESOHREAGIULHAEGOIWAHE, I either throw together all of the computer- and Internet-related acronyms I can think of off the top of my head, or just bang on my keyboard until I get something that looks to be about the right length, like VGSLKJGRAFSFDAHUFEWAHU.
Okay, now that TLDR has already been explained allow me to go TLDR on you all. (does anyone even read these? I am I just ranting to myself?)
Okay, here’s what pisses me off about VCO3. I used to belong to the supporters camp, and even started my own Pit rant in order to defend him against the people always calling him a troll. Basically I said that he certainly not a troll, just a guy who rants and happens to talk about shit that pisses people off. My defense was that he wasn’t doing it in order to get attention, he just happened to get attention because people didn’t like him. I realize that the distinction is small, but I said that since he never really insults anyone here he’s not out to really piss us off (not true I found out later, on one occassion he coldly mocked someone who just lost their pet).
When he would make dismissive comments such as this one in this thread:
I would say, c’mon, grow up, he’s just being funny in his own sort of** VCO3 ** way.
Now I’m beginning to discover that I seem to have a reputation for defending people who gain certain… “negative attention”. I will debate that when someone says something that generally the SDMB people don’t like that’s not necessarily trolling all the time. It just means that this person thinks this way and is only being honest.
So I really liked VCO3, he seemed to stir shit up and it was fun to watch, but I was always sure to defend him and his rantings as something outside of the classic sense of trolling.
Then he changed his fucking name.
TLDRIDKJKLOLFTW?! Are you fucking kidding me? That’s the most annoying thing to read on top of a post ever. There is no way a new member would be allowed to keep that. But here’s the thing, he’s not a new member, he’s a guy with a reputation for stirring up shit and declaring that the moderation staff treats him unfairly. So if they didn’t allow that name change they knew all that would happen would be another VCO3 rant in the Pit about how he’s always treated unfairly, so I guess the powers that be thought it would just be simpler to allow it and let us chew him up instead.
Because let’s face it, I already said I defend VCO3, so the bbs2k’s of the board would have joined in that pit thread I just mentioned also accusing TPTB of unfair moderation. (And I probably would have too, I have a bad habit of acting like an annoying little shit sometimes. Sorry, I’m working on it.)
This name thing though, is so blatantly annoying it just screams troll. I give up, I’ll admit it, he’s trying to annoy everyone here and is accomplishing it. he’s trolling, there, I said it.
And I’m not even mad about the trolling. I like trolls, I think they’re fun, and hunting them is a sport. Watching people trolls is practically my board past-time. Here’s the thing that pisses me off so much, he made me wrong, he’s making me apologize to you guys. I was wrong, there, I said it, happy?
Thanks a lot VCO3, you twit, I didn’t mind it when you annoyed everyone else but me. But now you’ve made me look like an ass too.

Dearest Waverly, I will hold no grudges, but if you would like to expand upon your post I would appreciate and reply to it. Off the top of my head I can recall your annoyance regarding the “I can haz asian chick” thing. Understandable, but I doubt that matter alone is why you just said what you said.
No he isn’t - I’m not annoyed. Maybe if you U.S. Americans spent a little more time focussing on important things like politics you’d find yourselves less interested in a name change on a message board.
Sorry, I am not really interested in politics. Used to, but not so much anymore. Sorry if I painted the board with a broad brush, but I saw this intentions as one intended to annoy a population members that do find annoyance with the name. We’ve already had a couple threads started regarding it, so I don’t think I’m imagining it all.
Most Americans DO think about politics. To the extent that it involves God, Guns, and Gays, and to the exclusion of most everything else. This is the problem.
So no love for **Humorous Crank **. I really thought it described him well. Many if not most posters either laugh with him or laugh at him and his various Pit & GQ ops work to two definitions of Crank.
He either sounds like a cranky young man or a crazy guy that spouts off oddball things.
BTW: I find myself sometimes laughing with him and laughing at him.
His post that upset some posters in this thread was comedy gold.

I think he might be the Andy Kaufman of the boards. Of course as I think about, Andy Kaufman was the comedy equivilent of a troll, wasn’t he?

bbs2k: Don’t get embarrassed for defending him. I half-heartily defend **Der Trihs ** and I whole heartily defended PRR. I don’t think these actions reflect badly on us with most posters.
