I hope I don’t see BANNED under the names of anyone in this thread…
I did sign off as Voix de l’Empereur once when I was taking about French music. Not sure about the others; I definitely wouldn’t use the name I used on other sites before I changed to this one.
I’m not terribly witty with the user names. **Diana **was taken, and so was Artemis. On other boards I use wisdomy, but that just seemed wrong for here.
When I named myself eponymously here it was a simpler time, when it was considered OK to do so. If I had to do it over again (in order of increasing outlandishness):
The Third Man. A handle I do use on other, less reputable, sites. Refers to both one of my favorite movies and a fielding position where I’ve been assigned in too many cricket matches.
Khodi Whydah. From a character I played in a historical play-by-mail game (remember those?) in high school. Actually “Omokhodi of Whydah” (a town in modern-day Nigeria) in the game.
Fiona de Villers. From a character in a short story I wrote, in an undergraduate English class I hated immensely. Any relationship to South African cricketer Fanie de Villers is entirely coincidental. It’s possible having to explain why I took on a female pen-name might get tedious after a while.
Boomalakka Wee–after a character in one of my favorite children’s books.
Eleanor of Aquitaine --already taken.
WinkyBox–if you think I’m telling, you’re crazy.
Attitude Problem–story of my life. Oops, that makes 4.
I tend to think of stuff like this at odd times and then promptly forget what I thought of when I could use it. I’m sure there are many other choices I’d love to have, but I can’t think of any right now.
Eagle Rugger When I was in college, my name was Pygmy Rugger. My men’s club is the Santos. The Eagles are the US national team. I’m not nearly that good.
Suck It Ehh, why not?
Cream Pie Because I’m a douche nozzle. Ahh, that’s a good one. Douche Nozzle.
IF I was going to create socks (which I’m not, cuz who wants that kinda trouble), it’d be for two of my characters that I’ve occassionally used in chatrooms as well: Mya-chanth and Felino.
